Theme
editActually, we had been seeing the theme in early promotional stuff. Like the hold bat-mofit. Fractyl (talk) 04:37, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing definitive. The only official item we've had is the silhouette that says "New Kamen Rider"—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 04:58, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
HEY! Look at this!
editHere's a pic of second rider; whose name CAN be seen in the upper right of the photo; at least two words reading "-Rider Hunter", and the word kamen is kinda blurry but present. It's also backed by the referance to a thread already in use; which has a pic of a "DX hunter belt" Item in a Magazine scan just like the ones being used for Kiba right now. http://forums.henshinjustice.com/showthread.php?p=294879 (fourth or fifth post from the bottom) Also, I've previously shown Ryulong sites I use to translate kana, and the "Kamen rider" kanji can be gained by comparing with all the previous rider series' logos. Permission to add? Shotesu (talk) 14:34, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
I heard that Kamen Rider Hunter's name was changed to Kamen Rider Blow, I don't know why but thats what I've heard, RiderLeangle 2:10 AM December 20 2007 —Preceding comment was added at 07:04, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- At this point it's still just a rumor, since I've yet to see anybody give proof. For that matter, I haven't actually seen any confirmation of his name at all since nobody else has bothered to full-out translate the scan.Phi Chi Delta (talk) 07:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

This is just here so if items are true, it can be incorporated into the article. While I normally do not like using them as a source, the Japanese text and original images can be found starting with this item.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 02:07, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Did a few tranlations.
Fangire (Monsters)

Fractyl (talk) 21:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- It'd actually be "Kiva Form", "Garuru Form", "Basher Form", and "Dogga Form." There is nothing in the names that suggest "Garuwolf" or "Bashem" except in the characters' names.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 22:50, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- Also, seeing as it's "vampire" (ヴァンパイア, Vanpaia), we're probably going to have "Fangire" (ファンガイア, Fangaia) or something similar to that.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 22:53, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see the pun here, it's like with Kiva: Fang + Vampire. Fractyl (talk) 04:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is really unnecessary to change your old comments to reflect things that end up in the article or statements that I make here as you did with much of this.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 05:27, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

- Are these from anything but Dukemon?—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 22:51, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
NO,NO,NO!
editIt's "Kiba", stop spelling it kiva! What's going on here is the fact that you're over-translating. The rule that is being abused here is that Japanese use "b" to stand for the english sound "v", thus when translating they are switched: IE, "adobento"-"advent", ect. The thing is, that's ONLY IN BARROWED WORDS! "Kiba" is native japanese and thus it's meant to be a "b", and not a "v". There is no word "Kiva"! My evidence: -While it is written in katakana, which USUALLY denotes a loanword(and likely why this error has arisen), it can ALSO BE USED TO EMPHESIZE A WORD. -http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071013145458AAXMSo4 This backs my claims: the word for fang is "kiBA." As per wikipedia's general policy of accuracy and in light of the evidence I've given, please change it back. Kiba means "fang" in japanese, hence why this year's series is named it; he has a Vampire theme. "KIVA" IS THE WRONG NAME. that is a translation error. I beg you guys, please fix this! Shotesu (talk) 20:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Kiva is how Toei and Ishimori Productions have decided to translate the katakana that are read as "kiba." Sure, the word for fang is "Kiba" but it is also read as "Ga." If it was written as 仮面ライダー牙, then by all means it would be "Kamen Rider Kiba." But it is not written that way in Japanese. It is written as "仮面ライダーキバ" which is only read in Japanese as "Kamen Rider Kiba." The logo for the series shows "Masked Rider Kiva" in English, much like Kamen Rider 555 has "Masked Rider Φ's" and Kamen Rider Blade has "Masked Rider ♠." Even Kamen Rider Den-O would be read, in Japanese, as "Kamen Rider Den'ō" or "Kamen Rider Den'ou." However, because there's an English name, we are utilizing that translation provided to us by the creators. The "Kiva" usage is even evident in the previews for the rubbery toys, which have large block KV written next to them. So, we are utilizing what is seen here.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 23:06, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ryulong's right about the spelling, but Kiva is meant as a combo of "KIba" and VAmpire. Fractyl (talk) 04:54, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah....it's a...a...what was that word? "Portmanteau"? A fusion-word. A cross linguistic one, no less....I see. No wonder it threw me for a loop. Well, you guys are the experts, so I'll accept what yousay; it does make sense and all....it just rings the alarms because it looks like a amature's translation, rather than a clever pun. Sorry if I came across....Cross. But the one question remains: why would they Spell "Kabuto" with katakana, I wonder? Why not use kanji like with Den'O? (IE, use the first part of "Kabutomushi"(rhino-beetle) or "Kabuto" as in helmet; both are his motif)From that example, it would seem like They purposely used Katakana to make the name stand out, and thus could have possibly done something similar here-that was my reasoning for why the Kanji for "Fang" wasn't used. I did do my research before hand, unlike some would-be vandals. ; ) No hard feelings, right? Shotesu (talk) 06:28, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Animals are often referred to using the katakana that spell out their names. If you go to Japanese rhinoceros beetle and click the link to go to the Japanese Wikipedia article, you will see that its title is in katakana at ja:カブトムシ. This is also done with Gray Wolf at ja:オオカミ and Gecko at ja:ヤモリ科. While there is a kanji name for all of these, it is generally not used due to the multiple readings that kanji have.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 06:46, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Koji Seto as Kurenai Wataru
editNor do we have something that explicitly states that Koji Seto is Wataru Kurenai or will be in Kiva
Doesn´t the picture in the recent TerebiMag, which was posted under References (3. Image of 紅渡. Retrieved on 2007-12-22 / http://clearblogs.com/uploads/d/dukemon22/43722.jpg) count as confirmation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanilla Ichigo (talk • contribs) December 24, 2007
- Seto's name is not mentioned anywhere in the scans that exist. It more than likely is him based on the photo, but we have nothing textual from Toei/Ishimori Productions that mentions that "Koji Seto is Wataru Kurenai." Stating as such based off of the picture is improper even if it is definitely him based on facial comparisons.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 02:03, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
But, can his name now be used, it´s finally mentioned here: http://www.toei.co.jp/tv/den-o/index.asp?action=entry&num=228 And, in the article is standing that Wataru is human and a violist maker, but wasn´t he supposed to be half-breed and a violist? --Vanilla Ichigo (talk) 00:39, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- The original text only had the word for "violin" so someone read closer and saw that he made them. I'll review everything and see how it reflects on the article.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 00:46, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you!--Vanilla Ichigo (talk) 00:50, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Fuestle
editI'm pretty sure it would be pronounced without the "u". Shouldn't it be written as Festle or Fessel? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Haftorang (talk • contribs) 19:22, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- フエッスル: フ and エ are clearly the same size. If エ was the same size as ッ (smaller than ツ), then it would be Fessle. But it's Fuestle. Fue (Japanese for pipe) + whistle. Kanjilearner (talk) 23:57, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Ikusa source text
editThe following is in Terebikun
So we have "Save Mode," "Burst Mode," "Ikusa Caliber," and "Ikusa Knuckle."—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:58, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Ikusa is Keisuke Nago, though it was obvious for the start. Fractyl (talk) 15:03, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Seiyuu Work
editMaybe it should be mentioned too, that Seto Koji is doing the voices for Kiva and the three monster in Kiva-Form. Tomokazu Sugita (Kibat) and he are so far the only two seiyuu.
--Vanilla Ichigo (talk) 21:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- It is stated that Koji is portraying Kiva, but it does not designate what form. That is sufficient.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:42, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it just seemed to be maybe clearer regarding the credit, and since the [Japanese Page] wrote it too, I thought about mentioning. That´s all. ^_^ --Vanilla Ichigo (talk) 23:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Makoto Ito?
editIsn't he the suitactor for IXA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.255.4.136 (talk) 10:00, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

- So... is it possible that there will be other Riders in the main Kiva series?----ryuryu111 (User ryuryu111) 12:11, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe. There are rumors that Kengo is supposed to be a Rider, but nothing has appeared to support that as of yet. Also, the movie Riders' suit actors haven't been confirmed yet.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:57, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Singer/Actor in Kamen Rider Kiva
editWhat iam telling you is a positive theory the actor who played as Kamen Rider Kiva/Wataru Kurenai Koji Seto Sang the ending theme song of the series .Eventhough Hiroshi Miyauchi who potrayed as V3 and Tetsuo Kurata who potrayed as Black sang their theme songs —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.83.40.241 (talk) 12:46, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
This may be true, but nobody wants to know that as it is trivial. Although, if there was a Trivia section added then your "theory" can be added in. I don't know really, it's up to Ryulong to decide. Let me paste in of what Rylong told you on your Marthytholath12 account:
"It's not that we don't believe you. It's just not relevant to the article. It's a piece of trivia that isn't necessary for total knowledge of the article. Also, he doesn't sing the opening, he just does vocals in the ending, and they did that in Den-O, too"
I've put some of the text in bold so that you can understand better. --Burai (talk) 13:16, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
hmm, good point,i guess the previous actors who played kamen rider sang the opening themes but at least the last year and this year kamen rider sang only the closing themes ~~MartyTholath12~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.83.40.241 (talk) 14:20, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- The information is extremely trivial. That and the article also states (in the theme song section) that Koji Seto is the vocalist of TETRA-FANG.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:23, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes, But there are also vocalistswho sang the theme songs which are the opening Hiroshi Miyauchi, and Tetsuo Kurata and the closing (Takeru Satoh )for Den-O.—MartyTholath2
- Those were solo performances, where they headlined the act. Seto is just in the band TETRA-FANG which is mentioned in the article. Satoh's performances for the ending themes in Den-O were in character as Ryotaro and are all mentioned in that article. Miyauchi's performance and Kurata's performance for V3 and BLACK may or may not be mentioned, but even if it was, it would be in the theme song section, and not overtly stated that "X is the main character and he sings the theme song" as it's not something essential to the article.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:20, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm... You make a point but will you at least put y theory especially the old ones like black and V3 as singers as part of the main article ?.—MartyTholath2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.83.40.224 (talk) 07:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- First of all, it's not a theory; it's a fact. Second of all, no, we won't. That's the whole point of our arguments here; we're not claiming you're wrong. We're claiming that this information you want to put into the article is unnecessary, because it's already mentioned in the Song section credits. Arrowned (talk) 15:51, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Okay iget it BU then Why do you put the name of the kamen rider actors whose fact that they sang the opening theme song in each Wikipage eg-Kamen Rider BLACK,Kamen Rider V3 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.83.40.224 (talk) 04:59, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Ryoko Yuui and Reina Ozaki
editI don't know if this is appropriate to write this but I'm just wondering... what tokusatsu did the both of them previously appear in (as they're under the Guest Actors section of the article)? --Burai (talk) 17:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, they're semi-major characters who have been mentioned on the Toei pages, so it's a guest spot in which they have not appeared in anything major (Yuui however was a Visual Queen of the Year or something).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- Ability perimeters
- Punching power: 17t
- Kicking power: 8t
- Maximum jump height: 30m

- Well, let's leave that information out until we get official names off of the websites.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:46, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Also, we have "Gigantic Claw" and "Blizzard Claw Execution" for Rei's attacks and also a "Kifuestle" too. However, I don't see anywhere in the source that mentioned "Legendol"...--Burai (talk) 11:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

New Kiva stuff
editNew pix to show what to expect this fall.
- Kiva and IXA in their strongest forms
- Kiva with Emperor-Zanbat Sword and Saga
- Kamen Rider Saga
- DarkKiva and Kivat the 2nd
Fractyl (talk) 03:47, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Awesome. I would like to know who will be Saga, even though we had rumours before that Kengo will be the next Kamen Rider. And that for some reason DarkKiva reminds me of Ryuga (from Kamen Rider Ryuki).. --Burai (talk) 08:21, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well, we'll likely get some more textual information on these guys throughout August (and maybe some features in Terebi-kun or Hyper Hobby or Figure-Oh). Until then, it'll be best that we not mention the new Riders in the articles.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:27, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Here's more
KIVA
editWhen Emperor Form had just been appearing in full in Japanese magazines, it had been revealed that "Kiva" was an abbreviation of "KING OF VAMPIRE." This was written in all capital letters. Now, as the movie has come out, this scan of the playbill/booklet given out in theaters shows the movie's translated name (which I've applied to our article found at Kamen Rider Kiva: King of the Castle in the Demon World), and it also says "Masked Rider KIVA The Movie." This suggests that, much like how we have the article at Kamen Rider IXA and not Kamen Rider Ixa, that "KIVA" is also an acronym and the articles and templates we have here should reflect that English naming (unless someone can find Japanese material that says "Masked Rider Kiva" not written in capital letters).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:26, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
...And I've just found something that uses "Kiva."—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:42, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
