Kanda Shrine → Kanda Myojin – Jinja should be rightfully translated as shrine, but I think Kanda Myojin fits better since that's the most common Japanese name and the one the article is called in Japanese Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 17:08, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:EN and WP:MOS-JP#Temples and shrines, which explicitly indicates that "Myōjin" should be translated as "Shrine" and gives this case as the primary example. Dekimasuよ! 06:39, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

Kanda Shrine → Kanda Myojin Shrine – The Myojin part is important. "Kanda Myojin Shrine" gets almost as many results as "Kanda Shrine" and "Kanda Myojin" beats all of them.. - Still inclined to oppose. In addition to the other reasons given above, note that Myōjin is a type of honorific, which we normally don't append to article titles under things like MOS:ALLAH, MOS:DOC, and MOS:HON. This would be a sort of double translation as well, along the lines of Edogawa River (lit. Edo River River). And we don't need to rely on the shrine's site, but for what it's worth, it also writes: "The Kanda Shrine (also known as "Kanda Myoujin)..." Dekimasuよ! 13:23, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
