Lack of notability
I know this article was just accepted, but I don't see how she would qualify to having her own article as there is very lack of solo activities. I merely see this as WP:BANDMEMBER Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 09:46, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Courtesy ping to @Ca to above query as you accepted the AFC submission. Third opinion, I do see that she met WP:GNG with some WP:SIGCOV instead of meh WP:PASSINGMENTIONS, I would compared this to some Twice's members articles which are more or less similar. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 09:50, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- If you go by based off that criteria, then a lot of K-pop artists can have their own articles, which I don't agree with. If any article is going to be accepted, they least need to have some type of individually notable. When you go through her article, there isn't anything significant about it but only the mention of her group, not her as an individual. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 10:08, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Btspurplegalaxy It depends basically, I see that she met GNG which is a top criteria before heading for BANDMEMBER. I'm pretty sure that we already have GNG-examples of such in Wikipedia like for examples articles of certain Twice's members as mentioned above which since creation (no AFD dispute; some yes but I don't see it's redlink nor redirect 🤷♂️) nor met SINGER and/or BANDMEMBER. Again "

" this depends but why not, I don't think anything changed between past 2–4 years to the policy (according to the revision's history) compared to now. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 10:15, 18 November 2023 (UTC)- I would like to get another input on her notability. @Robert McClenon I would like your input as did you think she's notable based on the information on her article currently? Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 10:29, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Btspurplegalaxy If you're in doubt just WP:BOLD ahead with AFD instead as I don't see having 4th or even 5th does any help. Fyi, just like song's articles needs to meet GNG first before NSONG, but whatever, up to you to decide. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 10:47, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think it hurts to have another opinion on it, as Robert reviewed this article in the past. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 10:51, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

- When I accepted this draft, I thought it was borderline but accepted it anyways. My reasoning was that a) Karina is an uncontroversial singer, leacing little room for BLP or NPOV issues, b) the draft had content that could not be easily been merged to another article, and c) AfC is for articles that have more than "50% chance" of passing AfD.
- I believed there were enough varied coverage available to form a conherent and proportional biography about this person. Ca talk to me! 22:13, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

- I tend to agree with Btsspurplegalaxy - no significant solo career, one OST track, the Paper interview seems the only in-depth coverage but largely a publicity piece. Every Kpop star seems to end up on some ranking or another. So really outside of BANDMEMBER I see nothing really to note here. Evaders99 (talk) 10:01, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
Puzzled Comments
User:Btspurplegalaxy - I am not sure why I have been pinged, but will offer my opinion. I did not accept the article. I declined the article on 6 September 2022, because I didn't see that she individually satisfied any of the musical notability criteria. I looked at the draft again on 16 November 2023, but neither accepted nor declined it. User:Ca accepted it on 18 November 2023. If I had completed a review in the last few days, I would have declined the draft again. I didn't accept this article. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:27, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- User:Btspurplegalaxy, User:Paper9oll - I reread your ping, and I see that you aren't saying that I accepted the draft, which I didn't, and you are saying that I reviewed it in the past, which I did (a year and a half ago). My opinion is that she does not satisfy individual musical notability. I think that an AFD is in order, to request that the article be redirected to the group as an alternative to deletion. In view of the long history, I think that this should be decided by AFD. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:34, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon I didn't ping you btw. Btspurplegalaxy wanted a 4th/5th opinion instead. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 16:36, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- User:Paper9oll, User:Btspurplegalaxy - I have provided my opinion. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:50, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

Unknown source in article
I think this article should be deleted. Because the source of the information is unclear. [1] Wikipedia:Notability (people) Jujuheee0408 (talk) 04:55, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, the information that came from that source has 2 other sources (one where the subject herself confirms the information on a show) backing it up. As I'm the one who referenced Esquire because it's a well-known magazine, let me know if it's deemed "unreliable" per WP:KO/RS#UR and I'll remove it. ZP (talk) 12:15, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
