Good Start
editThis has really shaped up from yesterday. Right now, all your citations are to the same source. You might want to mix this up a little bit. That said, this is really coming together! —mako๛ 22:02, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Benjamin Mako Hill and Niels115: Not sure if you've see this already, but there's also some related coverage at Karma_in_Buddhism#Indo-Tibetan_tradition. It will probably be good to coordinate between these two articles, so that section can serve as a summary of this article as it develops. Also, a more standard title for it might be "Karma in Tibetan Buddhism".--ragesoss (talk) 00:08, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Niels115 and Ragesoss: User:Niels115 and I talked about this yesterday and I suggested that she look into that article and a couple others to try to figure out where to move things out of or into. Merging things into that section (or somewhere else) might make sense or moving things out of that section into this article might also be a good idea. User:Niels115, maybe you could ask on the talk page for the articles on the topic to see what other editors think? —mako๛ 02:34, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Benjamin Mako Hill and Niels115: Hi Tara! Overall, I think your article is awesome and has a lot of information that would benefit the reader. I agree with the other editors that you should add some links to other articles on wikipedia because many of the things you discuss have wiki pages that might lead a reader there as well. Another thing I would suggest is making the voice of the article a little more objective if possible.Great job! Zoebloom (talk) 03:27, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
Nice Article
edit@Niels115: This is a great review of the Tibetan Buddhist version of Karma. I do think it would benefit from a few more references. I found the following listings on google scholar that might be helpful. (Although you'll probably need to go through UW to get full text.) Or, perhaps a book by the Dalai Lama could provide another good reference. I'll also go through and do a little copy editing and try to incorporate a link or two for you. Nice work!
Ways to Improve
editI had several suggestions for ways to improve this article:
- Although the article itself has some good facts and nice references, the tone reads more to me like a guide to somebody who is a Tibetan Buddhist rather than what I might expect from an encyclopedia article on the subject. I think there might be POV issues that still need to be ironed out.
- The references should be wikified using a {{cite}} template.
- My sense, although I haven't looked around yet, that the best place for this content is within an existing article either on karma or on Tibetan Buddhism.
That's it for now! —mako๛ 00:51, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
