When this article was started, "Karun Treasure" was the most common term encountered in English language sources across the internet. This seems to have evolved a bit as the artifacts gained more motoriety.

"Karun Treasure" gives 2060 results in Google search restricted to English-language sources, mostly Turkish sources,
"Lydian Treasure" gives 2850 results in Google search restricted to English-language sources,
"Lydian Hoard" gives 5070 results in Google search restricted to English-language sources,
"Croesus Treasure" (or "Croesus' Treasure") gives 2060 results in Google search restricted to English-language sources, while the term is intrinsically incorrect, King Croesus was seemingly not the owner nor were they placed in his tomb for him,("Treasure of Croesus" of course, gives 75.000 odd results, almost all used in an abstract context.)

Having contributed to the present state of this article a good deal, I would come in favor of moving the title to "Lydian Treasure", and not to "Lydian Hoard", the word "treasure", in my view, subject to discussion of course, being more easily recognizable and understandable internationally. Such a move would also offer the advantage of stressing whose (which people's) art and legacy they are. 88.250.174.109 (talk) 20:25, 21 December 2009 (UTC) Cretanforever (talk) 09:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
