- Kate Scott (presenter) → Kate Scott (British presenter)
- Kate Scott (sportscaster) → Kate Scott (American sportscaster)
– Insufficient disambiguation, akin to (soccer) vs. (footballer). Alternatively, the British one should maybe return to Kate Abdo, by which she seems to be better known still. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 18:23, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Kate Abdo → Kate Scott (British presenter) – Reopening this on the advice of the previous closer.[1] "Kate Abdo" as a title is a clear violation of the policy at WP:NAMECHANGES: " we give extra weight to (...) reliable sources (...) written after the name change." Recent secondary source articles all use "Kate Scott"[2] and her blue-check Insta is @katescott. See also WP:SPNC. . 162 etc. (talk) 17:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think google searches are particularly helpful, because a google news search, limited to the last month, with her name in quotations, is 17,700 results for Scott and 23,800 for Abdo. The split since Sept 9 (date of our source re: wedding) is 31k Abdo and 22k Scott. Most of these are blogs and tabloids on both sides, but we do have a pretty extensive profile from the Ringer that seems to timed well to her switching what she goes by, and recent coverage of the Tyson/Paul fight broadcast team referred to "Scott". I don't think the previous close was a violation of NAMECHANGES, but I do support this RM per SPNC, and in particular, "the likelihood the new name is going to stick". There's no indication there will be any trouble switching from Abdo, given the actions of her broadcast partners. Alyo (chat·edits) 18:21, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

- Support. She is going by Kate Scott now, and WP:NAMECHANGES would support this move. Paul Vaurie (talk) 06:32, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
