Ryan as essayist/reviewer
editThe article should include some indication of Ryan's published work as a reviewer and essayist. She reviewed Marianne Moore's letters, which tends to support the affinity noted by some of the reviewers of Ryan's poetry. She's published a number of essays in Poetry. There's a useful collection of web links at the Poem Hunter website.EAS 12:21, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Picture
editIs there any way we can get the main picture for Kay Ryan changed? I was lucky enough to speak to Ms. Ryan and she bemoaned her unflattering picture on Wikipedia; I have to agree with her. I added the second photo on the lower-half of the page, but it was removed from being the heading photo, for reasons I am not completely clear on. Either way, I'd say a sprucing up of that image would be helpful. Thebaitgoat (talk) 03:12, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- To my understanding, portraits with a clear view of the face are preferred for the lead picture. We can add more pictures as long as they have the right licence. If Ryan wants to add one of her own she is more than welcome. She can upload one at the Wikimedia Commons, understanding that she would be releasing rights to use of the photo. For what it's worth, I think the pic given is a flattering portrait. Could be much worse. Span (talk) 13:20, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
