Terminology
editAs a general rule to normalize terms used in this article, I'd like to figure out if we should be sticking to the Japanese versions of the magic system's names (eg. Fū-Jutsushi, En-Jutsu) or Western versions (wind user, fire art, etc). It feels more natural to me to leave the terms in Japanese since they contribute signifficantly to setting and atmosphere of the anime.
We do have a terminology section where these terms can be further expanded upon, but I'm also wary of letting that section grow too large with dictionary definitions. These definitions would probably be better off being inlined into the article the first time they come up. --Darkbane 13:21, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
BG & line color
editI've reverted my own line color change because I've noticed disagreement over previous similar changes. Why is #DCBCFF considered standard? It looks really out of place, so is there a good reason for it?
I think #CCCCFF is a better choice as it matches the infobox much more closely. It's also the color used on many other good articles, such as Romeo x Juliet, List of Blood+ episodes and List of Code Geass episodes. Please see the version before my revert for comparison. --Darkbane 04:13, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed it to the infobox color for now. --Darkbane 13:43, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Tsuo Ring, Tsoi Ring, Tsui Ling
editThis character's name is being changed. Can we stick to one please? I'm not sure which one's right. It's a Chinese name for sure so you shouldn't just go romanize the Japanese directly.--殺人事件 | talk 05:36, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't know which one is the right one, but for complex names i just spell out what the voice actors say repeatably, so far i am sticking to Tsuo Rin, sounds fine to me, and the name is probably being changed a lot , what just 3 times, probably because people tried to fix it, so the latest should be the correct one, if not sure, just hope some smart chinese dude watches this and say hey thats not how u spell it, let me fix it,.. so ya... Wernhart Rhodes
editI've been wondering all the time while watching the Anime: Is his name really Wernhart? For me it sounds like the name Bernhard —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.217.78.50 (talk) 13:31, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's most likely a name of Germanic origin and thus We is read like a Ve and thus Be in Japanese.--殺人事件 | talk 14:08, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Have I understood it right? Because We/Ve is read like Be in Japanese, the name Wernhart is correct although it seems to be the german name Bernhard? Is that because it's a retranslation from the japanese characters? I'm only curious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.217.78.50 (talk) 16:27, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- His name is writted as "ヴェルンハルト" in Katakana and thus is Verunharuto. It's not Vernhart and thus is Wernhart, as a German name. It doesn't need to be a real german name, it could be just random german-sounding name the author thought was cool.--殺人事件 | talk 14:10, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Bernhard would end with ド(do).--殺人事件 | talk 14:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

About Wernhart it says that he sacrificed Tsui-ling but in Kazuma's story it says he killed the one responsible for Tsui-lings death I think someone needs to clean this up
Fair use rationale for Image:Stigma rpg.jpg
editImage:Stigma rpg.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

edithttp://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-08-19/kaze-no-stigma-novelist-takahiro-yamato-passes-away
I have looked and can't find any info on his age or what his illness was, anyone is better skilled at info and grammar than me so I put it here for those better than me to add to the wiki page.

Stigma of the Wind → Kaze no Stigma – English main dub by Funimation was produced with Kaze no Stigma title in 2009, the minor dub has the translated title but was broadcast in 2010 on Animax Asia. AngusWOOF (talk) 17:53, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: I note that this is reversing an undiscussed 11 November 2012 move by user:IGeMiNix, with edit summary Moving to official English name as page already uses it, which is no valid rationale in terms of WP:AT and WP:official names. IGeMiNix has not edited since December 2012 and appears unlikely to return [1], but was active off and on since June 2010. Andrewa (talk) 16:13, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- The information is scarce for the Animax Asia version. http://huamulan03.blogspot.ru/2010/05/stigma-of-wind-anime-premieres-19-may.html I have no idea who dubbed that series. If they took Funimation's dub and retitled it, then that's a broadcaster's decision. Regardless, the voice actors currently listed on the article are for the North American released version by Funimation, which still retains the title Kaze no Stigma. -AngusWOOF (talk) 18:08, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, it is scarce. This is all I could find. I think it was dubbed by Omni Productions (?) I'm not sure, I remember reading it on some forum. 五代 (talk) 06:04, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
- Weak support. We appear to have no evidence that the current name is in fact the official English name, or any other evidence supporting the undiscussed move, and there is a general consensus (based on hearsay admittedly) that the more common name is Kaze no Stigma. In the absence of other evidence, and noting the attempts to find any, it makes sense to move it back. (There will of course still be a redirect from Stigma of the Wind.) Protagonist
editI believe Ayano Kannagi is the real protagonist. I read all the chapters in the whole manga, and it shows that Ayano appeared in all the chapters, and Kazuma only appeared in certain chapters. Ayano is also the narrator in the whole manga. I also believe that Kazuma is called the title character because his powers is the title. Nintenchris5963 (talk) 20:26, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
