Birth date

edit

Despite my own note I'm going to suggest re-adding 16 May 1967 as the DOB as both IMDB and User:Kevinwarick agree on this. Rich Farmbrough, 09:59, 29 December 2009 (UTC).Reply

I'm not committed either way, but we generally would not accept either as sufficiently reliable sources in a BLP.  Skomorokh  10:38, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Due to repeated edit warring to change the subject's date of birth, I have semiprotected the article with the status quo ante birthdate presented. If anyone can provide a reference for the 1967 date of birth, then please do so here. --Kinu t/c 19:24, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Keith was the year above me at Hillhead High school and I’ve just turned 54. I used to know Keith in Glasgow and he’s definitely at least one year older. I went to Langside college with his younger sister Rhona and my friend dated him in high school. 82.23.26.223 (talk) 16:14, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposing deletion

edit

I have proposed this article for deletion. At the moment, this article is an unsourced WP:BLP and thus much of the content ultimately violates WP:V. It is also one hot WP:COI mess. --Kinu t/c 15:57, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

To be fair to the author(s), it's only an unsourced BLP because you removed the sources. Skomorokh 16:17, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Those are quotes without any actual attribution. Where, specifically, are said quotes published? As written, they were simply puffery, not critical commentary with legitimate sourcing. The information also does nothing to satisfy the BLP issue. --Kinu t/c 16:18, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
They are indications of reliably sourced coverage, which is the cloth from which verifiability and notability are made. Assuming good faith, the quotes are legitimately taken from the sources indicated; do you not agree that asking the author for fuller citations would be a more productive and less biting course of action than removing them outright for unrelated (albeit justifiable) reasons? Are we really improving our reader's experience of the encyclopaedia like this? Skomorokh 16:45, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I was wondering if these references have to be confirmed? On the 28th of Oct I added referencess (below) and context.
