External Music Video Links
editThe videos are linked to video posts made by the official Universal Music Group Channel on Youtube.com, and to American Online Video. Video rights belong to their respective owners. Tukes 03:44, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I missed this when I made the last edit but have restored the video links. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 21:48, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Restored Scroll Boxes and fair use album covers
editThe scroll Boxes were restored because they do not violate wikipedia formatting rule in any way. They actually enhance page usability. I restored the fair use album cover image links because the fair use rational for each image permits their usage in this article, as well as individual articles about those albums. 74.167.228.199 00:40, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- The images can't be claimed as fair use unless they are in an article about the album. The scroll boxes are very odd and make the article hard to read. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:43, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- An album cover can only be used if you are talking about the specific album, not as a general image for the person, if they are still alive, as this would violate WP:NFCC#1. I reverted the scrolling text also, there might not be a policy that states this is not ok, but we don't have a policy that says a lot of things, articles should display in a consistent style. - cohesion 05:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Has anyone considered this part of the WP:MOS#Keep markup simple?
“ | Keep markup simple: Use the simplest markup to display information in a useful and comprehensible way. Markup may appear differently in different browsers. Use HTML and CSS markup sparingly... | ” |
- Additionally, I posit the extension of the logic of WP:MOS#Formatting issues.
“ | Formatting issues... are issues for the Wikipedia site-wide style sheet and should not be dealt with in articles except in special cases... It is also almost never a good idea to use other style changes... [They] reduce consistency—the text will no longer look uniform... increase arguments—there is the possibility of other Wikipedians disagreeing with choice... and starting a debate about it for aesthetic purposes. | ” |
Headline text
editThere was some vandalism here. Whatever was here before had been removed. The text here had nothing to do with Headline text and would not have merited a "Thanks". sinneed (talk) 02:18, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- there was vandalism there, read the edit notes. Someone created a blank headline and wrote some offensive text below. i removed the entire section because it didn't contribute to the discussion page at all. Check the history. Bab-a-lot (talk)
- Indeed, there was. And I did, indeed. However, you also changed an article rating, without the authority of the team to do so. Thus I reverted the edit. I leave the section in, as an interested editor may now find the change in the History, and correct it, if they desire. sinneed (talk) 02:30, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

3RR and modifications to article quality flags
editWhy were these changed? Has the article been reviewed and I just am too ignorant to understand how to tell? sinneed (talk) 02:18, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- I changed them based on the Grade Quality Scale this is a class A article. Bab-a-lot (talk) 02:22, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- But you and I don't get to do that. We get to REQUEST that the project team assess the article. Please revert your edit. sinneed (talk) 02:29, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I understand, now. I undid all of the changes, that I did. Bab-a-lot (talk) 02:38, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
