"VON DUTCH" character
editadded by anonymous poster. Needs cleanup and references.
VON DUTCH WAS NOT A RACIST! He was a frustrated actor who played the "VON DUTCH" character and eventually became that character, much to the dismay of those he came in contact with, who were not on his level of humor. His tirades were all 'put on'. Only those closest to him understood that. The rest didn't. And they were the ones who became the objects of Dutch's biting "humor".He just couldn't tolerate those who didn't "get it"!

Commercialism and pintstriping
editTHis article SUCKS HARD. I'm removing the links to the "official" von dutch site as it has NOTHING to do with Ken Howard and is in fact the biggest insult to the man and his name that this company even exists, nevermind is linked on his personal bio.
And the article really needs mention of his impact on pinstriping, since no one is bigger or will ever be bigger in pinstriping.
- I agree. It's a pretty bitter irony.121.44.201.109 (talk) 18:00, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Quote
editI removed this quote from the lede, but cannot think of a good place to put it. Truth is, without a clear reference showing its source, it should not be in the article at all.
I make a point of staying right at the edge of poverty. I don't have a pair of pants without a hole in them, and the only pair of boots I have are on my feet. I don't mess around with unnecessary stuff, so I don't need much money. I believe it's meant to be that way. There's a "struggle" you have to go through, and if you make a lot of money it doesn't make the "struggle" go away. It just makes it more complicated. If you keep poor, the struggle is simple.
If someone can source this, put it back in the article, probably in the section on his work and influence. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 17:51, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
