Notability
editThis article fails to establish notability and sets a bad precedent for publishing indiscriminate information pertaining to marginally successful poker players. Further, the sources do not verify the notability of this article nor do they provide adequate coverage required by WP:NOTE. The article should be merged or deleted. - The Poker WikiProject considers a subject to be notable if they win a WSOP event, which this player here. Now, obviously they don't have final say - Wikipedia's notability guidelines do and they say someone is notable if they have had significant coverage in multiple reliable sources. this player also passes that guideline, as evidenced by the sourcing provided by Plastikspork. I wouldn't have de-PRODed the article if such coverage didn't exist - Plastikspork simply added it before I had a chance to. Finally, he isn't a marginally successful player as his career earning are $1.7M and even if he was it would establish a precedent for anything since "Other stuff exists" is never a valid reason to keep an article. --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:25, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
