Notability
editKevin Kiely is a notable politician because he is mayor of one of the main cities in Ireland. Other than that he has significant national press coverage. His membership of Limerick city council alone is grounds for notability as Limerick city council is a 1st level subnational administrative division in Ireland. All this per WP:POLITICIAN. MoyrossLADY (talk) 12:18, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- That's not quite correct. Just being an elected local official does not guarantee notability. This individual has made one remark in his entire career (about deporting jobless Foreigners), not notable before and doubtful in the future. Per his controversial remark, see WP:1E.
