Dildo incident
editQuestions: 1. Does the Kevin Plawecki dildo incident deserve coverage in the article? 2. Does the previously-written coverage on this violate WP:BLP? I would contend yes and no (although there may be a point about WP:SYNTH, although I think it's 50/50). Editosaurus (talk) 23:33, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- (1) A dildo in a locker creates sensationalist coverage, which is not what Wikipedia is about. (2) It's clear that speculating about this dildo being related to Matt Harvey's suspension is WP:OR / WP:SYNTH, and therefore a BLP violation. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:36, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not speculating that the dildo is related to the Harvey suspension --- in fact, I sought to clarify that the two were not related --- I merely am making an acknowledgement of the speculation that had to be cleared up about this subject. As the Mets org (incl. through beat writers) specifically stated that the two were not related, then, setting aside the notability of the dildo incident, the Harvey speculation being cleared up deserves mention.
