Iffy stuff
editThere's some pretty iffy stuff in this article; the section that is being edit warred over has some questionable sources. The biggest problem is that nobody has bothered to use the talk page to discuss the issue. But it seems to me there are valid WP:BLP complaints about it; this is a case with investigations in progress, and the sources at best provide accusations. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 17:10, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Alqubaisi and real
editQ&A with His Excellency Khadem Al Qubaisi, Managing Director of IPIC Q. What was the main driving force behind this deal with Real Madrid? A. “This agreement is in line with the directions and strategy of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in promoting the UAE and Abu Dhabi, globally. We are proud to join forces with Real Madrid, the world’s top football club and sporting brand. This long term agreement is designed to provide the commercial means, not just to build the world’s greatest sports facility, but also to spread Real Madrid’s heritage and football ethos around the globe. IPIC, as a company with expansive global investments including Cepsa, Spain’s fourth largest company by turnover, is the perfect vehicle for such a relationship.” Q. What are the main parts to this agreement? A. “The commercial arrangements empower Real Madrid to build an unparalleled, state of the art sporting venue for the city of Madrid and Madridistas. The grassroots rights, immediately actionable, enable the parties to globalise Real Madrid’s assets – its heritage through the museum and its footballing ethos through its schools – utilising the synergies within IPIC’s global group of companies. The agreement is designed to inspire and empower young people around the world by bringing the ‘Real Madrid Museum, Empowered by IPIC’ to their cities, and to develop exciting new ‘Real Madrid School of Football, Empowered by IPIC’ training and instructional material for coaches and children to improve their footballing skills. IPIC also becomes the licensee for the Real Madrid Schools of Football in the UAE and other territories to be agreed. The branding, advertising, digital, promotional, image, hospitality, and additional rights are in keeping with an agreement of this scale, time frame, and stature. In addition, IPIC and Real Madrid will develop unique content for digital media platforms. Silverarrow1971 (talk) 00:43, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Al-Qubaisi directly named as a key figure in the 1MDB scandal by US DOJ
editInitially this article started as a self promoting vanity page however recent developments now show it is directly linked with the 1MDB scandal.
Al-Qubaisi is one of 5 key figures directly named in the US DOJ forfeiture Inditement: https://www.justice.gov/opa/file/877166/download
31. Khadem Abdulla Al QUBAISI (“QUBAISI”), a U.A.E. national, was the
Managing Director of IPIC from 2007 to 2015 and the Chairman of Aabar in at least
2012 and 2013. During this time, he was a “public official” as that term is used in 18
U.S.C. § 1956(c)(7)(B)(iv) and a “public official” as that term is used in Article(5) of
United Arab Emirates Law, Federal Law No (3) Of 1989 On Issuance Of The Penal
Code. QUBAISI also was a director of Aabar-BVI
470. Funds traceable to the proceeds of the 2012 bond sales, which were diverted
from 1MDB and/or IPIC, were used by QUBAISI to acquire a penthouse condominium
unit in the Walker Tower in New York, New York. The property was purchased by an
entity called 212 West 18th Street LLC on January 21, 2014 for approximately
$50,912,500. Greenberg Traurig, LLP, a U.S.-based law firm, represented 212 West
18th Street LLC in connection with the purchase.
I think the (currently removed) 'Early life' and 'Career' sections should be re-added as the information was most likely provided by persons working for Al-Qubaisi (user:KhademContent) and the Removal from IPIC section should be expended with information from the DOJ inditement.

- GorillaWarfare, I thought maybe this could be like a BLP1E case, in which case we abuse admins can just disappear it, but it turns out he's all over the news for all the wrong reasons. Ah well. Let's see what we can do. Drmies (talk) 01:53, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- Drmies I dug into it for a bit. Much of the coverage is due to this lawsuit, but it's clear now that he is independently notable outside of the case. GorillaWarfare (talk) 04:26, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- He certainly is, GorillaWarfare--thanks for your good work. Meow, Drmies (talk) 04:27, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
