Biography
editI have tried to cleanup this article from the poorly phrased random text dump it was. However, several important details are missing:
- Date and place of birth
- Date and place of death
- Family details (was he married, had children, etc.)
- Early career before 1934 (army?, how did he become colonel?)
- Dates for some of his achievements
- Political party affiliations
It is also worth noting that I am unfamilair with the subject. The cleanup I have done has been mostly to reorder the existing material so that it at least made sense in English and resembled other biographical articles I have seen. One particular issue is the terms used in the original author's words - for example, the original author referred to him as "Khansahib" or "Khan Saib"; I have assumed this is an honorific term similar to "honourable sir Khan" and have therefore replaced it with his family name which I have assumed to to be "Khan". Similarly, I renamed the article to reflect his name without the attached honorific titles. It is probably a good idea to check the spelling of all non-english terms, names, etc. Astronaut (talk) 20:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Correct information
editThis edit by 115.167.27.144 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) disputes some of the information in this article and even supplies a reference. However, the format and tone is unsuitable for an encyclopedia article and I don't have the source mentioned. I have reverted it for now, but if someone could check this and perhaps rewrite the disputed information in a suitable format and using a suitable tone, it could be an improvement to the article. Dubious
edit@Sardar Jay Khan: You seem to have claimed that the subject was elected to the Praja Sabha in 1934. However, there were no elections to the Praja Sabha in the Poonch Jagir during that year, according to a reliable source[1]. You have cited a source in a foreign language. Can you please quote the passage from the book that states this and provide an English translation? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:44, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Sardar Jay Khan: you have not yet answered this question. Please provide the source for your content. Please avoid treating Wikipedia as if it is a personal blog site. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:49, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- [copied from User talk:Kautilya3]: Kautilya3 dear sir. that was book Urdu Yagana-e-Kashmir is not English translation is see the google book Freedom movement in Kashmir, 1931-1940 Ghulam Hassan Khan https://books.google.com.pk/books?id=XiRuAAAAMAAJ -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sardar Jay Khan (talk • contribs)
- Then can you tell us what is precisely stated in the book. Who held the elections? Who were the candidates? When was the election held? etc. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:52, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- I am beginning to think now that Cabeiri Robinson might have been wrong in her conclusions. The Franchise Committee reports from the 1930s, some available online, suggest two elected Muslims from Poonch and two nominated minority members. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:33, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Incomplete citations
edit@Sardar Jay Khan: Please provide complete citations for your sources. Mentions like History of Kashmir Freedom by Maulvi Meer Alam Khan
, are pratcially useless. Is this book written in English or Urdu? Who is the publisher? When was it published? What pages are you using for the content? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:48, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
liberation of Azad Kashmir not only Mirpur
editKhan Muhammad Khan was over all Chairman War Council who organised and raised many units comprising ex servicemen who fought for liberation of complete Azad Kashmir not only Mirpur under his able command as Chairman War Council. you have wrongly write here that he liberated Mirpur actually the one who liberated Mirpur also has the same name captain Khan Muhammad Khan so you have confused this Khan Muhammad Khan with that Khan of Mang captain Khan Muhammad Khan. it needs necessary correction on your part Thanks Shodi bacha (talk) 20:34, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- I have removed the Mirpur reference a while ago.
- However, the war council claim is also likely to be removed because there are no sources in English language that say that. Please find English language sources, or provide a quote from your Urdu source and an English translation of it. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 12:23, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Categories
editI have removed this article from Category:People by district in Pakistan. That category is a container category and so should only contain other categories, specifically in this case categories that group people from Pakistan by the district of the country they come from.
