"Nonetheless, since vowels are often omitted in Persian, the word could also be read as Khor-abat or, meaning the site of Khor. The word Khor refers to the Sun."

This is blatantly wrong. The word for Sun is Khorshid, spelt خورشید (Khvurshid), descended from Avestan xᵛarənah, whereas Kharabat is spelt خرابات (Kharâbât), خراب (Kharâb) being an Arabic loanword, and - as the relevant Wikipedia article on Persian nouns attests "Many nouns borrowed from Arabic feminine forms pluralize using the āt (ات) suffix." The two words have no etymological connection whatsoever and would not be assumed to have one by native readers, contemporary or modern. 79.187.177.168 (talk) 21:04, 3 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
