Talk:Kheper

Vouching (preferably citing) the Temple of Set stuff.

edit

I know little about Egyptian neopaganism, so I can't say the material here is wrong for the use in it, but it is wrong for the use in Egyptology. As I said before, when this page was still Xeper, In Egyptology, the word could only be transliterated in ascii as xpr. If the Xeper spelling still existing in this article is used in the temple of set, it should be moved there. Second, the pronunciation is not kheffer in Egyptology. It's usually pronounced just as spelled, Kheper. If we want to take a stab as to its original pronunciation, the amarna letters seem to actually show akhpir, such as in the name minahpiria for Menkheperre or Menkheprure. Feel free to discuss the use of this term in the temple of set, but clearly seperate it from the egyptological position. Thanatosimii 19:48, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
