According to AnimeNewsNetwork, Michitaka Kikuchi is his real name, not just an alternative pen name. Can anyone provide any sources that can either support or refute this statement? Greyweather 03:33, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)
AK: Yes, Kikuchi and I are one-and-the-same. The reason I was working under two names is because "Kikuchi" I reserved for the animator side of me while "Asamiya" I used for the manga artist side of me. I've dropped my "Kikuchi" identity recently, because Kikuchi hasn't been getting any work!
