Old-Timey
editThere is an Old-Timey Homestar Runner toon of the same name! 198.228.228.30 (talk) 13:01, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Anecdotal
editJust anecdotal, so I won't add, but the way the Northern Irish game is described was the way we played in in the Western US in the 1960s. I don't think there would have been any direct Irish influence, and there were no kids from outside the US in the neighborhood.
Splitting proposal
editI propose that section Kick the can down the road be split into a separate page called Kick the can down the road(currently a redirect to this page). This phrase has a different meaning than the subject of the article.WP:NOT#DICT. Lurking shadow (talk) 19:59, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
- Done I removed the second topic which is just an idiom dictdef and used a wikt soft redirect for the previous incoming redirect to section Kick the can down the road so it doesn't target here now. I left a wikt box with both terms in the last section (ref section) per WP:ORDER although a hatnote is better but AFAIK we don't put soft wikt redirects into hatnotes, and if we do then someone can fix that.
