I'll get to this one shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 12:55, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Shouldn't it be the Kidnapping?
  Done
Don't forget to change the first couple of words in the lede ;-)
  Done
  • Images are appropriately licensed
  • No DABs
  • Don't need an exact number of checkpoints in the lede
  Done
  • There's an awful lot of background. Compress the first three paras into a single one.
Trimmed the Background quite a bit.@Sturmvogel 66: Tell me if you need any more details removed.--Catlemur (talk) 19:07, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Umm On 6 April, Nazi Germany launched an invasion of its own known as Operation Marita. Outflanking the Greek forces at the Albanian front by attacking from Bulgaria and forcing their surrender.
What I was sort of thinking was one sentence for the Italo-Greek War, another for the German attack and a third for Marita. We just need to lay the groundwork of why the Germans are occupying Crete, and maybe trim the details of Carta's escape as well, other than how they relate to getting Kreipe off the island.
Cut out some other details. Operation Marita and the German attack are the same thing.--Catlemur (talk) 16:39, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Link ranks and geographic features as much as possible

  • Don't particularly think that the designation of the ML that dropped them off is really useful.

  • above the Kastamonitsa village extra word?

  • Shortly before the abduction was to take place, the team received a letter from a local commander of the pro-communist Greek People's Liberation Army (ELAS), who threatened to betray them to the authorities if they did not vacate the area. The operation was postponed for several days as the general did not leave his residence. So they ignored his letter without repercussions?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 00:14, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Clarified that they replied with an ambiguous note and ELAS did not carry out the threat.Catlemur (talk) 19:07, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
A few more tweaks to the background and we'll be done here. I forgot that changing the name of the article would break the link to the review so formal posting of the promotion may be delayed until I get it figured out.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:48, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
