Keiran Agard → Kieran Agard — All bar one of the sources listed spell Agard's name as "Kieran". Most notably this includes the Everton F.C. website. The Findmypast website (presumably based on local authority records) lists him as "Keiran", but I seem to remember this site listing Emile Heskey as being called Emily. --Ilikeeatingwaffles (talk) 10:23, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

- Support Reliable sources spell it Kieran, e.g. Everton F.C., the current Sky Sports yearbook, and most tellingly the player's own Facebook. Doesn't really matter whether the Findmypast site has the spelling of his birth name correct or whether it's a transcription error, which is not unusual with that site, we shouldn't be going to birth records. Articles should be named according to the subject's COMMONNAME, "the name which is most frequently used to refer to the subject of the article in English-language reliable sources", which is Kieran. Google news has only 11 English-language hits for "keiran agard" -"kieran agard", and none more recent than 12 months old. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:07, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support - all the sources indicate this is the correct spelling. GiantSnowman 16:06, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
