POV?
editIs it me or does this article sound like an album review from the pages of NME? There are no sources listed anywhere (for example, "cited as his worst track....") and tons of descriptive/non-neutral terms. Its just a track-by-track interpretation of the album showcasing the opinions of whomever wrote this. Seems that several Morrissey album articles are written the same way. Anyone else want to chime in on this, or am I being too critical? P.S. I have also placed this tag and message on Viva Hate. -- eo 18:50, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hello eo. I wrote this article about two years ago, attempting to evaluate why Kill Uncle is so critically panned by exploring the tracks individually. I have just added some of the sources I used in my writing. Still, I can understand how much of the aritcle might seem like my own opinion, and I am willing to remedy this. If you're willing to work with me, I think we can turn the article into a better-referenced, more factual and professional piece. Thanks. Acegikmo1 22:57, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds good to me. Perhaps we can move all critical responses to its own section and keep the article streamlined with the basic album article stuff: release date, producer, chronology, the recording process, musicians involved, etc., etc. It doesn't have to be bare-bones, but definitely trimmed down from what it is now. -- eo 18:03, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm up for streamlining the article. Would you like to make some edits to start? Acegikmo1

I agree that this article is more of a review than a factual document of the album. (especially since I absolutely adore "Sing Your Life") However, cudos to Acegikmo1 for putting it out there in the first place.
This is appallingly written, compared to earlier edits. --194.82.45.23 06:06, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
I agree...this is very badly written. How is "Camera Eye" "misunderstood"? I don't know of anybody who misunderstands the song...Each song description is very weak and confused, with no facts at all throughout the entire article...72.229.34.42 (talk) 21:20, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, it's clearly extremely unencyclopedic, despite the good faith efforts of some- i removed alot of it now, but reading over it again I wonder if any of it is salvageable? Perhaps the best course of action would be to re-write it from scratch?Warchef (talk) 16:20, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Background?
editMore background for the album would help non-fans understand the article. Is it transitional because it's early in his solo career? Is Stephen Street associated with his time with the Smiths? Katherine Tredwell 12:41, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Let’s Kill Uncle is a 1963 book by Rohan O’Grady
edit…which predates the film by three years. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say the album derives its title from the book. 2600:6C50:7500:7BB6:70B3:6A03:C7C3:AE43 (talk) 18:16, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
