Question from editor
editI am not sure why this page is being considered for deletion; the entry does not have any issues that would make it a candidate for deletion. The sources cited are not PR pieces, but legitimate news stories crafted by journalists, not Kim Jew himself. The breadth of sources shows that there is significant coverage of Kim Jew as a photographer; the sources are reliable news sources; the sources are written from a third party perspective; and the sources are independent of the subject. Based on this criteria, I believe that the Wikipedia entry about Kim Jew should be presumed suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Additionally, Kim Jew's notability spans decades, demonstrating that the independent coverage cited is not short-term interest.
I understand that Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion....and this entry does not read as such. It is not advocating people to take an action, it is not an opinion piece....it is written from a neutral point fo view, using an objective style to state facts about Kim Jew's life and notable contributions to the field of photography.
Please advise on why you are considering this entry for deletion.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Fredniferitz (talk • contribs)
Advert
editI reapplied the advert tag that was removed without explanation. The reason it feels like an advert is that it simply talks about how great the subject is, with mostly proper references, but does very little to explain what the person actually does that's so great. I'm now the third person that thinks this is a puff piece so the author will have to do more than just remove the tag and give a small explanation to convince people. Orphan article message
editPlease help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.
