Wiki seems to be in error
editThe 1811 constitution did not change the name of the country from the State of Haiti, but merely established that it was to be governed as a kingdom. Unless there are sources backing the name change (for example, it was perhaps enacted as a proclamation or law subsequent to the Constitution,) this article should be merged as a new section of the State of Haiti. — LlywelynII 21:10, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
Needs a map
editTo show the boundaries between the Kingdom of Haiti and the southern Republic of Haiti.Parkwells (talk) 14:28, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the map, but we should find or make a more accurate. Though Henri Christophe may have claimed the entire western portion of the island, he ruled only in the north. This means that a more accurate map should be of northern Haiti. Any with the knowledge and skills: thanks. Historian (talk) 06:16, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
Language
editWas Haitian Creole actually an official language during this time, as the info box implies? 2602:306:CFEA:170:18F6:9493:65B1:6E94 (talk) 17:06, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- No it was not actually. Thanks for pointing that out. Savvyjack23 (talk) 18:52, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- The thing is, the category in the infobox states "languages", opposed to "official languages." In the code itself, it states "common languages" even. That's probably why it is included here. Savvyjack23 (talk) 18:53, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

No citations?
editReally weird how this article has few citations, with such large prose. — I'ma editor2022 (🗣️💬 |📖📚) 00:42, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
