Sources
editThe majority of the historical background and other facts in the article to date are from the Grumbler 150th Anniversary Edition, edited by John Boulden, et al., and published by the KCI 150th Reunion committee; and/or from the personal conversations and recollections of this editor upon attending said reunion, May 27-29, 2005. Name of the school
editSome of the names of schools in Brown, 1927 are a bit different from what's given in the article:
- Berlin County Grammar School instead of Berlin Senior Boys' Grammar School
- Central Public School instead of Berlin Central School
- Kitchener and Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School for the name given to the school in 1923-24 (instead of Kitchener-Waterloo...").
I've left the names in the article as they were before, but if someone finds a third reference, these names might be worth checking out. JYolkowski // talk 22:56, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- Not sure if it's been edited since you wrote that, but currently it says "At the formal opening on April 4, 1924, the school received its current name, Kitchener Collegiate and Vocational Institute." and yet the current name (in the title and in reality) has "Kitchener-Waterloo" there instead of just Kitchener. I haven't found enough sources to make any changes officially. PeterHansen (talk) 18:10, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Failed GA
editThis article failed the GA noms because it failed the "broad in its coverage" coverage criteria. It failed this criteria because this article doesn't tell me what this school has to offer and most importantly it doesn't tell me what makes this school unique and different from other schools. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Tarret 21:11, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Moving citation comment from text

Removed the paragraph:
If and when the construction of the controversial new LRT rapid transit system is approved though all levels of government, it will require that the statue be moved further back from the road. (Many 100-year-old trees and much of the landscaping will be lost in the construction process)
This is neither here not there when it comes to notable alumni. Neither the 100-year old trees nor a statute are notable alumni.
Fair use rationale for Image:Kci logo.gif
editImage:Kci logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Alumni Description to Long
editI fixed one. They should be short and sweet look at other school articles. If the person was interested they can look into the person. For example, Milt Schmidt, National Hockey League player, member of the Hockey Hall of Fame (dropped out at age 14)[6] I think should drop the part about age, but I hesitate as there is a reference in there so I figured I would post it here for someone that knows what to do.
