editDespite the blurb on today's (Dec 15 2005), "Kiwi" was not "the first modern shoe polish". The German brand "Erdal" was patented in 1901.Kar98 16:41, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Counterfeiting
editI heard from Diggnation episode 47 that Kiwi shoe polish is the most counterfeited product in the world, if it is true, a reference to that would be appropriate in the article. --Jcmaco 20:48, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Ownership

Kiwi shoe polish named after the bird, not the people
editI'm pretty sure New Zealanders were not widely known as Kiwis back in 1906, so it would seem likely that the polish was named after the Kiwi bird??? Ernest the Sheep (talk) 21:34, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
