Hi John@John B123:, I was wondering where exactly do you see sources which provide sufficient notability per WP:GNG for him (you removed the notability tag)? They are by far not independent from the subject or his organization. Not a single one. CommanderWaterford (talk) 19:55, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi CommanderWaterford. I've based notability on the identifiers in the Authority control box. Whilst there is no specific policy on this, it's generally assumed to be equivalent to WP:ANYBIO's The person has an entry in a country's standard national biographical dictionary (e.g. the Dictionary of National Biography). I don't ever remember any article with authority control identifiers being deleted at AfD. That said, if an article doesn't have an authority control, it doesn't automatically made the subject non-notable. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:10, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@CommanderWaterford: When you're reviewing and are uncertain about notability, it's worth looking on Wikidata to see if there are any identifiers listed as they wont show up in the article unless the pages are linked and the authority control template is on the article. For example see Klaus Vogels wikidata page. Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:22, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
