On Friday, August 13, 2004, the President of the Hellenic Republic Constantinos Stephanopoulos is the first President as Head of State to declare open the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad Athens 2004, the Olympic Homecoming of the modern era in Athens, Greece, during the Opening Ceremony. Accompanied by Adjutant Officer of the Hellenic Air Force, Colonel Georgios Dritsakos.
