Class number

Class 210 is wrong numbering by KORAIL's numbering system. They use these two patterns for passenger EMU:

  • Long-distance train
A B CC DD
  • A: Train speed (1: High-speed, 2: Non-high-speed)
  • B: Train type (e.g. 1 for Sancheon in High-speed category, Saemaul for non-high-speed category)
  • C: Fleet number
  • D: Car number
  • Regional train (for suburban metro EMU)
3 A B C DD
  • A: Service (e.g. 1 for Line 1, 2 for Gyeongui-Jungang-Line)
  • B: Train type (e.g. 1 for 10-cars set in Line 1, 9 for 4-cars set in Line 1)
  • C: Car number
  • D: Fleet number

So, as EMU of ITX-Saemaul is the long-distance train set, they use upper numbering system, which train type is rather "21", not "210". So a title of this article should be "ITX-Saemaul (Rolilng stock)" or "KORAIL Class 21". --59.18.227.241 (talk) 10:38, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
