Link on Wikimedia Commons
editI tried to Integrate images from the gallery and texts in this article. The gallery has been overproportionally large in comparison with the small text volume in this article. Thus, I trimmed and rearranged the gallery in chronological order. We have already direct link on Wikimedia Commons to Pottery of Korea, providing plenty of images on Korean Pottery. - Well I have done the same thing better, by splitting up the over-large gallery to mini-galleries. There are always images on Commons (a different project); that is not in itself an excuse for reducing the number of images of an inherently visual subject. You didn't "trim" the gallery - you removed almost all of it. I have reduced the number somewhat, and of course kept the chronological order. Ideally the text will be expanded. Please don't edit war over this. Johnbod (talk) 23:30, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- There are too many mini-galleries, which look quite unencyclopedic. The galleries are still overproportionally large in comparison with the small text volume in this article. I tried to Integrate images from the gallery and texts in this article rather then removing the images. First of all, the text should be extended so that more images from the gallery can be Integrated into it, rather than producing plenty of mini-galleries in the article. And I hope you will not to edit war over this. Conprix (talk) 00:29, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Well, I disagree on these points - there is nothing "unencyclopedic" about mini-galleries, which most FAs on visual subjects have had for many years. You did remove the great majority of the images - the edit history is clear. Johnbod (talk) 15:57, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- It is unencyclopedic as long as the plenty of galleries overwhelm the small text volume in this article. The edit history is clear, that I moved some images from the gallery and incorporated them into the relevant texts or sections instead of simply removing them. Conprix (talk) 18:11, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Really? Strange then that your edit reduced the article size by 6185 bytes! Johnbod (talk) 02:56, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- Please note that I made my comment after this edit It is clear, that I moved some images from the gallery and incorporated them into the adjacent texts. And in my last comments i did not deny that I removed images. Conprix (talk) 10:09, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
