I feel this page should not be merged with western orissa because it is nearly impossible to add all the details about this movement in western orissa article as that article will be too long..This article will only concentrate on the movement by giving detailed reasons and due references..so we should keep this article intact.Satyajit Nayak (talk) 07:09, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is a completely different subject. It should not be merged with Koshal. Thanks Skarmee (talk) 08:22, 25 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Some one is deleting the content

edit

I think it was deleted by User talk:192.85.47.12. These guys should be stopped from deleting wiki profiles. News is news, it should not be supressed by any one. I also urge the admini to remove the merging tag. Thanks Skarmee (talk) 08:27, 25 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Biased opinion

edit

The personal opinion expressed by a user (Even the selection of Bhubaneswar as capital was wrong in view of the fact that capital should be located in the centre of the state) is incorrect. Capitals of the states of West Bengal (Kolkata), Maharashtra (Mumbai), Tamilnadu (Chennai) and Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram) are not at the centre of these states. There are more examples. Even, capitals of countries like India (Delhi), U.K. (London), U.S.A. (Washington D.C.) etc. are not at the centre. It is not necessary that capitals should be at the centre. Hyderabad, the capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh is in the Telangana region. Yet, the people of Telangana region are fighting for separation from Andhra Pradesh and creation of separate Telangana state. It is immaterial where the capital is situated. - LNpadhi (talk) 16:38, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Four sentences were removed because they represented biased opinion, as discussed above. You were asked to justify those sentences before putting them back. I did not ask for references. “Citation needed” tag is existing since December 2009, which is more than one year. Do not force your POV. Be neutral. - LNpadhi (talk) 16:20, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • It is better to wait and discuss before deletion of content. If the POV is not nutral please put a tag. Deletion of content is a clear case of vandalism Skarmee (talk) 16:53, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Apalling article

edit

This has to be one of the worst articles I have come across on Wikipedia. It is poorly written and organised, and amounts to little more than point of view pushing. An article on the State Movement should not be used as a cheerleading page for the movement, but should instead explain the aims of the movement, and any criticism of it that has been made by others, using reliable sources as citations. It needs completely rewriting from start to finish.

Incidentally, to the editor above who complained about the deletion of uncited material, that is how Wikipedia works. If there is no citation, anyone is free to come along and delete the offending section. If you want to keep a section, go and find a reliable source that verifies what is claimed. Removal of uncited material

edit

If any body wants to put back removed matters, must provide citation from reliable sources. Otherwise, it will amount to vandalism and will be removed and reported. - LNpadhi (talk) 11:42, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reasonableness

edit
  • User talk pages are for these purposes as given here WP:USER, they are useful please go through them.

The page is for Kosal state movement, it not about the tribal cultures or diversity these districts are having. These things can be accommodated in the respective district pages.

I have already clearly stated in your talk pages that the references provided by you are of JMM which is primarily a party of Jharkhand, secondly by the representatives of JMM. It never reflects the views of the people. You can visit http://archive.deccanherald.com/Deccanherald/jan042004/sl5.asp to see that there is a demand for Kosal in Sundargarh also and you will find many such references on the internet once you search for it.

Wikipedia is not a place to put your or my view on a subject or topic.

I am going to delete the irrelevant parts from this article and remove unreferenced sources till they are adequately supported by valid references.--[[++@adikka (talk) 19:08, 6 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I have gone through the website mentioned above by you. Nowhere there is any mention that there is a demand for Kosal in Sundargarh. Please refrain from stating such utter lies.

I added a paragraph to this article with four references on dt. 26.4.2011. Again on dt.28.4.2011 added another two references. The above editor (Akkida/ adikka) removed the paragraph on dt. 04.5.2011 and asked for further reference. I provided another reference on dt. 4.5.2011, as asked by the editor. Without providing any reason either in the edit summary or in the talk page of the article, he arbitrarily removed the paragraph, probably, as it did not suit his p.o.v. I further asked for the reason of removal so that I can improve upon but to the contrary it was removed without providing any reason. Please provide reason for removal so that it can be improved.

What I have put in is clearly related to this article as this article mentions Sundergarh district. Further JMM has a large base in Orissa. Sundargarh district had elected JMM MLAs to the Orissa state Assembly ( Pls visit http://as.ori.nic.in/gis/html/orissa/mla.htm ) but so far not a single Kosal Kranti Dal (KKD) MLA has been elected to Orissa state Assembly from any where of Orissa.

Regarding choice of Bhubaneswar as capital of Orissa, the reference provided is the personal opinion of an individual in a website, so to say a blog, which can not be termed as reliable. Please see WP:NOTRS.

Uncited personal opinion shall be removed, if put back. Pls. put back, only with proper and reliable citations. See the discussion above under “Apalling article”. Thank you. - VTirky (talk) 07:00, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Thats what exactly what I wanted to convey to you; even if the opinion that time and again you are putting back into this article is personal opinion and it should be removed, even the opinion is not yours its someone else personal opinion!!!--[[++@adikka (talk) 16:16, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Content added is neither my personal opinion nor of any other individual. It is supported by solid citations, removal of which, without stating any reason will amount to vandalism and will be reverted. The above editor is removing cited content, without stating any valid reason, simply because it is contrary to his personal opinion. - VTirky (talk) 15:19, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • This article is about a movement for separate Kosal state and the area of proposed Kosal state, according to this article, includes the district of Sundergarh. So, how come that, any thing written about Sundergarh district is out of context? -- VTirky (talk) 14:53, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Deleted content not related to Kosal state movement. The deleted paragraph should be placed on the Sudergarh dist page.Skarmee (talk) 05:48, 5 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

CC-BY-SA declaration; text in this section removed from the article by me. I have left it here for future reference and in case its removal breaks refs. The reason for its removal is: this article is about the Koshal succession movement, not about languages. Baffle gab1978 18:59, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

from Distinction of Sambalpuri language

Sambalpuri has its unique grammar and epic like Mahabharata and Ramayan etc. are available in this language.[1] For instance, noted litterateur, translator and scholar Hemachandra Acharya is popularly known as the Balmiki of Sambalpuri literature for his translation of The Ramayana into Sambalpuri [1] Information on Grammar book like "Sambalpuri kosali byākaraṇa" by Nilamadhab Panigrahi is available on the web.[2] Also, many magazines and periodicals are available in Sambalpuri language.[3]

The article is about separating a part of the state of Odisha, India and their is no need of such article. Also some political propaganda lines are written in the article to divide a state, which is anti-national. Shanti.lataa1 (talk) 15:04, 18 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
