Untitled
editAdded a bunch of information, updated to follow his breakout July 2005 performance in Nagoya. I added a photo, and generally made it nicer methinks. But if anyone has a better picture, please, feel free to toss that in, and to expand on the wonderful world of Sumo.
- I removed the sentence about Kotoshu being undefeated in Aki-basho because it is a) not the case anymore and b) it probably isn't the best idea to include information that may change from day to day, especially if you do not update at the same frequency. --Kükator 10:57, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Basho confusion
editSince "basho" redirects to the poet, I'm going to un-wiki link that word here. If someone decides to make that article, go ahead and restore it but I'm not sure that word even needs it's own article anyway. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 12:18, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
2005 injury
editI just removed a line that says, "In the May 2005 tournament Kotoōshū was injured in a bout against yokozuna Asashōryū." I believe this has evolved from an old version of the Asashoryu article, which stated, "Takamisakari (shoulder) and Kotooshu have both suffered notable injuries at the hands of some intense practice (keiko) with Asashoryu. In fact, on May 18, 2005, Asashoryu's left shoulder met Kotooshu's face at the tachi-ai (initial charge) with such ferocity that it stunned the Bulgarian and he teetered and wobbled out of the dohyo (sumo ring) with little effort from the Yokozuna." This seems to conflating two separate incidents, one an injury in a practice session and one a blow (but not really an injury) in a tournament bout. Therefore I think this sentence is probably best removed altogether.Pawnkingthree (talk) 13:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
