He just won in Nagoya (against Hakuho). I can't believe it. I call shenanigans. Ok, he lost against Asashoryu. But I'm still not totally convinced.

I think Hakuho just underestimated Mitsuki's newfound confidence. Mitsuki won't have this liberty on their next meeting (which could very well be this basho is both can manage to remain at 1 loss until the end).

Name change?

edit

There's been some suggestion that he would change his name to Kotozakura upon promotion to ozeki, in accordance with his previous stablemaster's wishes. Anyone know if this is happening?Pawnkingthree 10:37, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

No word yet. As soon as it happens (or definitely will not happen) the folks at sumoforum.net will be on top of it. TCC (talk) (contribs) 22:13, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Life after sumo

edit

Anyone has news on his life after sumo? Might be interesting to add this to wikipedia too. 2A02:8388:1604:CA80:F462:6A60:DEA:83A0 (talk) 16:36, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

As the article says, he now runs a yakiniku restaurant. I've added a heading to make that section clearer, and also mentioned his exhibition against Asashoryu at the end of last year.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 17:26, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
