editKripasaran did many things but he most certainly did not establish the MahaBodhi Society of India in Calcutta. That task was left to Anagarika Dharmapala and Henry Olcott, among others. It has become something of habit lately among Buddhist circles in India to claim other's accomplishments as one's own. Ambedkar Buddhists relate everything back to Ambedkar; MahaBodhi Society bhaktas say it was all Dharmapala and apparently, even now, lovers of Kripasaran are doing the same.
