What images on that page violated copyright issues? I am totally confused. There were government images from the US Patent office. All other images were created by me, or by me and the person who took the photo and gave me permission (in writing) to modify and use the images here.

Please help me understand this, there were no images taken from any other site or source, I have tried to provide documentation as requested, etc.

Incorrect information

edit

Your ISBN for the following is incorrect: Fred W. Crimson's book, U.S. Military Tracked Vehicles (ISBN-13: 978-0970056719) referred to the KRISTI KT4a as the "Water Walker" due to its amphibious capabilities.

In adition, your information is incorrect, Fred W. Crismon was not talking about a KT-4A, he was talking about a prototype internally named the KT4-JC (Source: KristiSnowCat.com and Fred W. Crismon) It is clear you do not own this book nor have you viewed the entire page in Mr. Crismon's book. Please remove the quote until you can view the book and cite the source correctly.

Any reference to KT-2 KT-3 or KT-4 production numbers must have a source. The only source with the actual production numbers is KristiSnowCat.com who owns the original Kristi company records. Production records have been published on this site, cite the source. The KT4 and KT4a units are very rare and less than 5 are known to exist of a total production that was probably under 20. Cite the source or remove due to copyright infringement.

Total production of all the units combined, over the entire 12 year life of the original company's lifespan was lower than 1 year of production of commercially viable snowcats from Tucker Sno-Cat, Bombardier or Thiokol all of which were produced in North America during the same time period. The only place you could have determind the "12 year life" is by taking information from KristiSnowCat.com. Cite your source AND the production numbers of any of the other referenced snowcat manufacturers or remove the comment, in present form, it has no encyclopedic value.

The KT4a was the commercially released version of the prototype. The production numbers have been posted (and then later edited) on at least 3 internet websites. Melensdad 22:14, 11 March 2007 (UTC)MelensdadReply

    • Please site your sources, where are the websites that have KT-4 production numbers you are referring to? KT-4 numbers have only been posted one place, the discussion forum on KristiSnowCat.com The only place with KT-4 and KT-4A information on the different models is the KristiSnowCat.com site where you read the brochure. You were not even able to get the model numbers correct, it is KT-4A not "a". Site your source. user:caroth
    • The KT-4A was not referred to the water walker, your information is wrong. You cannot look at a digital picture of part of a book and make up history. You need to do a little more research before posting information. I will correct your information, but only if the KristiSnowCat.com is added to the external links. Your ISBN number is still incorrect.user:caroth
      • Who are the editors that check information here? What is the process for verifying information? This article still contains incorrect information. I will not correct information until credit is given for the information.user:caroth

Chris Roth wants to link kristisnowcat.com but seems unwilling to come to this Talk page, preferring to argue on my user talk. Please link if it's relevant. Guy (Help!) 10:12, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

    • Please take a look above, I have posted in Talk. No response by anyone else except the author. The author is referencing the book above incorrectly. How does wikipedia check sources? It appears to be the author's word against mine. I own the book, the author does not cite the book correctly or remove it's context. If you would like to see the entire content from the book, look at this page: http://www.kristisnowcat.com/history/prototypes/KT4JC/kt4jcgallery.asp The last paragraph has a link with the content from the book user:caroth
    • Please add the KristiSnowCat.com website to the external links, it is relevant to the article. Please review the KristiSnowCat.com website and let me know why it is considered spam. Leaving the current single link which self promotes the author's website is SPAM according to admin Guy, why is this allowed? user:caroth
JzG, I added the kristisnowcat.com website back to the list of links. I never had a problem with it in the first place, all I ever did with it was alphabetize it along with all the other links. I did that on several other Wikipages that I built or where I was the major contributor. It seemed logical to me. Looking over the page history, it appears that Caroth (using multiple URLs that trace back to him) manipulated the links, sequences, etc after I alphabetized them to make sure his was first, or bold, etc. Also, for whatever it is worth, I am not the owner of the other web page as Caroth alleges, but I was able to provide some information to the owner. Further, I did not post the link to that website but just as with Caroth's website I left the link because it seemed reasonable. Further, there have been several corrective contributions, not done by me, to this site. If user Caroth wishes to make additional constructive contributions then those would be welcome additions, provided he does not destroy the current information. As for the issue of the KT4a name, that seems curious to me that the KT4a, which is the production designation of the prototype, which was dubbed the water walker, could not be also considered a water walker, however I made a minor edit to be more precise. No snowplane photos exist???

edit

In reference to:

15:58, 29 March 2007 Melensdad (Talk | contribs) (Undid edit because no photos exist of the Kristi tilt design, these illustrate traditional design←Undid revision 118473382 by JzG (talk))

Melensdad is incorrect about the Kristi Snow plane photos, there are many that exist.

http://www.kristisnowcat.com/history/snowplanegallery/planegallery.asp

Posting non-Kristi snow plane photos from ebay auctions does not have any relevance to the article.

What is the approval process for taking pictures from ebay and using them on wikipedia?

Melensdad, when was the last time you actually looked at the history on the KristiSnowCat.com site? user:caroth—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Caroth

I do not check the kristisnowcat.com webpage. However if you have updated that site with new information and care to share it with the world, please feel free to add your photos. After this page was finished I did not continue to research the topic, it was written with the available knowledge at the time of its writing. Your contributions to enhance Wikipedia would be welcomed.Melensdad
