The result of the move request was: Procedural close. Page histories merged. Please do not cut and paste between duplicate articles. To preserve attribution, a history merge should be requested at WP:RMT Philg88 ♦talk 06:16, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Ksenia Alopina → Kseniya Alopina – This skier already has a Wikipedia article under the spelling with the letter y. The Kseniya article has existed for 11 months and 14 days longer than this one. As of this post, while google news has 9 results for Kseniya Alopina and 147 results for Ksenia Alopina, standard google search yields 13,600 and 3,170 results, respectively. Moving the articles either direction would be fine for me, as long as two articles of the same subject don't continue to exist. --Relisted. - Speedy procedural close an article exists at the target, so this is not a move request. You want WP:PM -- proposed mergers. There's nothing to be done here with respect to WP:RM, since it cannot be renamed. -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:52, 4 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
- @George Ho: why did you relist this when it obviously is impossible to do, since the target is occupied by a separate page, and both pages are about the same topic, so no move can be done. This needs to be closed. It is procedurally invalid. The proper process is called WP:PM -- proposed mergers -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:36, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
- I tagged the other article as candidate for speedy deletion for being a "duplicate". I copied data into the other article. --George Ho (talk) 05:08, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
