I have corrected non-factual texts written using source with false English title, and have also deleted multiple sources and texts that supplement them. The source notes that each news outlet reported a completely different interpretation of the minister's remarks. One is that the minister said it was unacceptable to force women to wear high heels, and the other is that the minister allowed women to be forced to wear high heels. However, previous editions have used the false English title "minister statement is not a statement which allow the 'belief that women should be dressed "reasonably"'"" to say that the minister's remarks were misreported. And multiple English sources have unilaterally taken up the latter interpretation as fact. In response to a press inquiry seeking the truth, the the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare described the minister's remarks as "While it is unacceptable to force women to wear high heels in circumstances that result in accidents or illness, neither can the government prohibit companies from requiring female employees to wear high heels unless they are beyond what is necessary and reasonable in the course of business in accordance with conventional wisdom."[1]--SLIMHANNYA (talk) 08:24, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Several sources in English have described misleading statements to the effect that the minister said "high heels are necessary for women because of conventional wisdom and professional expectations," but this is not the case. If you read the minutes of the Japanese Diet and the Japanese press, it clearly shows that he stated that "it is acceptable for companies and others to require women to wear high heels as long as it is necessary and reasonable for business in the context of socially accepted norms." --SLIMHANNYA (talk) 09:33, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

I have found that almost all English-language sources are spreading false information that Minister Nemoto and members of the Diet said that high heels are necessary for women. I don't know if important information was distorted in the translation process from Japanese to English, or if someone who first communicated this issue in English to the various English-speaking media intentionally misinformed them, but it is a terrible thing.
