editKumarajiva was a well known Buddhist that should always be remembered and respected.
This article seems to be citing the Xuanzang translation of the Heart Sutra at the end, not Kumarajiva's. The relevant passage in K's begins 非色異空,非空異色, not 色不異空,空不異色. It's also worth noting that K's text is not called the 'Heart Sutra,' but the "Great Illumination (vidya) Spell Sutra of the Maha Prajnaparamita" 摩訶般若波羅蜜大明呪經. The two texts obviously bear a close relation to each other.
I guess the name of his father should be spelled as “yama” rather than “yana”. Because the character “炎” in Middle Chinese is with the rime 廉, which is ending in [–m]. Thus the name may be reconstructed as Kumārayama? (For the Sanskrit final short vowel is often dropped in some Chinese literature, a final “a” is added.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.45.245.14 (talk) 04:13, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
