Kurubrang > Kuribrong
editExtremely likely to be a misspelling due to remoteness/obscurity and Amerindian language origin (which also suffer chronic transliteration inconsistencies). "Kurubrang River" pulls up a measly 6 pages of Google search results, the vast majority are mirrors. "Kuribrong" brings up a greater volume of sources (which I added to supplement the pre-existing book source.) It was mentioned in some of the older explorer texts, so it's been known to exist for quite a while. While it's entirely possible that there are 2 distinct rivers (one notable, one not), I think it's more likely to be an error in naming. Estheim (talk) 14:02, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- To reinforce my misspelling hypothesis, here are two articles from the same news site talking about the same event using both spellings: Kuribrong-trail and Kurubrang-trail Estheim (talk) 14:14, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
