editThe link reference #3 at the bottom of the page - is linked to a competing technology, NOT Aker-Kvaerner process. Could this link be fixed please?
- Hi! :-) If you look further up in the text, you'll notice that reference No. 3 is used in the section "Plasma variation". The text departs from the Kværner-process to mention a variation of it, the competing technology. So the reference appears to be intentional.
- But do feel free to edit any inaccuracies, misleading statements or lack of information in this article. It's pretty small and I'm sure there's a lot we're missing on both this process and carbon black in general. EverGreg (talk) 09:49, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Superheated steam
editI have been occupied with Kvaerner-related processes since 2012, and I have never heard of superheated steam being generated. Generation of steam seems to be based on hearsay, or maybe someone cited an insecure reference. Obviously the corresponding reference hfpeurope.org is a dead link. It is also not clear how steam (H2O) could ever be generated, since the kvaerner-process takes place in absence of oxygene and methane (CH4) is the only input. I plan to look for reliable data on the "available energy" for improving that section. 60tagegratis (talk) 15:43, 19 February 2021 (UTC)60tagegratis — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60tagegratis (talk • contribs) 15:27, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Plasma variation
editThe section "Plasma variation" has little to do with the Kvaerner-process - except that plasma is involved. 1. Plasma arc waste disposal is a process where waste is heated by means of a plasma torch (instead of any other heating device). The waste contains volatile elements which evaporate (degasification) in presence of heat from the plasma torch. 2. Methane and natural gas (being basically the same) are related to the Kvaerner-process but the relation to plasma arc waste disposal remains unclear. I would recommend to delete the section 60tagegratis (talk) 15:43, 19 February 2021 (UTC)60tagegratis — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60tagegratis (talk • contribs) 15:41, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
