Kyle Chipchura was born with a Metis background, but it was not mentioned on the page. His native influence provides insight as to who he is on a more personal level. There was no reference to justify where he attended high school or where he played minor hockey. I thought there could of been a little more light shined on the fact he was named team Canada captain, that is a huge achievement for a player of Metis decent. Week 2 Wikipedia Assignment Question and Answers
edit1. Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference?
The beginning of the Wikipedia article states numerous facts such as birth place, teams previously employed by as well as tournaments and career achievements. Up until midway through the Career portion of his page is any fact referenced. Further into the article facts are properly referenced although again in his International Career portion of the page their are facts which are not referenced. In all, many facts are referenced although for legitimate purposes of the page there needs to be increased patterns of refrences.
2. Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article?
Yes, all of the links work. Despite the links working there is a few questionable format issues that I have identified. Some of the referenced articles are other Wikipedia pages; team pages. I believe this is acceptable although I feel this may question some of the pages legitemacy.
3. Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?
All of the information that has been properly sourced seems that it is within a reasonable time period of about 10-15 years, considering he has had a long career in Professional Ice Hockey Career. Although his page reflects his tremendous career both in the NHL and KHL I feel as an Aboriginal athlete there needs to be more discussion on how his ancestry has impacted his career. --Anthonypellej (talk) 15:51, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
