"Call your shot" as a nickname
editSome other suggestions. It takes awhile for a nicknmae to catch on. Just because an announcer uses it a time or two doesn't make it a nickname. I prefer SchWAR-bird but so what. Someone else might like The Scwarbinator. Again, so what? Lets wait and see. . Buster Seven Talk 00:06, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- I think people care far too much about "nicknames" and not enough about improving article prose. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:19, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- And I think that those that care more about nicknames don't know what the word "prose" means! :~) . Buster Seven Talk 00:28, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
i'm in boston, and the main nickname in use is "kyle from waltham" (local town) after someone dressed him up in a waltham high shirt or something. he has adopted it a bit himself now (albeit mispronouncing waltham!).
could someone who knows more than i fill this in pls? 66.30.47.138 (talk) 18:56, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

Kyle Schwarber isn't from Waltham, MA Change Hometown to Middletown, OH Change Waltham High School to Middletown High School 72.70.32.70 (talk) 04:38, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
The personal life section says he grew up a Red Sox fan, but what I see online (both from the article referenced before the paywall kicked in, and from other articles), is that he grew up a Reds fan. This makes a lot more sense being from Middletown. Andrew Caledon (talk) 16:06, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
