I think this article could be featurable if we can get (1) a picture of the road bridge and perhaps (2) a picture of the old ferry. It's a tiny little place but historically quite significant. Perhaps some more needs to be written about the latter. --Tony Sidaway 02:19, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

All I can see are 30 or 40 houses that could be anywhere in the Highlands. Does no one have a pic which shows the village center? --Gillean666 03:07, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think the current picture (described as Description "Brücke von Kyle of Lochalsh zur Insel Skye in Schottland" - 2006-06 - Dirk Tintemann") is great, it shows the mystical beauty of scotland often praised. And with the bridge, boats and loch I think it is specific enough to the area. - Anonymous coward

"Palin traveled by various trains from London to the furthest north point by rail, Kyle of Lochalsh". Furthest point north by rail would be Thurso, surely? Draggleduck (talk) 03:11, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kyle of Lochalsh placename?

edit

Was the village / locality ever known as "Kyle of Lochalsh" before the railway arrived in 1897 (the proposals for same having first been considered in the 1860's)? Manchester Warrior (talk) 15:10, 12 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
