- He and others likely abbreviate a forename to its initial, but it may be better for the page name to state his full forename. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:49, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: How would that be reconcilable with MOS:COMMONNAME? The full name isn't even sufficiently prevalent so as to register on the Google Ngram. And there's 30 times the number of references on Google to the abbreviated name. (Granted, of course, that we don't make decisions based on those alone.)
- Looking at the five criteria, precision and consistency aren't relevant here, but the case for the proposed name under the other three criteria is rather self-evident. And the subject-specific naming convention provides, "Generally, use the most common format of a name used in reliable sources: if that is with a middle name or initials, make the Wikipedia article title conform to that format." 142.160.89.97 (talk) 03:07, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
