When I had a look at the other animal rights activists' pages, they're of comparable length, some were even shorter. I think a merger would increase wikipedia's gender imbalance, if the female activist would be merged to their respective organization's article, while the male activists would keep their own pages. This would yet reduce the amount of represented females on wikipedia, while keeping the lesser quality male pages intact. I came across Brigitte Gotièrhe's while doing maintenance for the Wikipedia:New pages patrol, and have no strong opinion on the proposed merger. However, I will state that a Wikipedia article for Ms. Gotièrhe, just like an article for anyone else, requires reliable media sources that are about her life specifically, and those appear to be few in number while reliable sources for L214 are plentiful. If Ms. Gotièrhe has suffered a gender-based lack of coverage, that is a problem in the news media, a much bigger realm that has its own problems before Wikipedia enters the picture. Forcing a poorly-sourced Wikipedia article is not the solution to a problem that Wikipedia did not create. Also, if deficient articles on males are sitting around without proper sourcing, they could themselves be nominated for merging or deleting, and nobody simply got around to it yet.
