editWhy is this still an article. It's a classification for a hub, switch, or bridge. Not worth of an article
What is this?
editNot enough context in the stub to know what the intent of this article is. How does a LAN extender differ from an Ethernet extender, hub or switch? --Kvng (talk) 18:20, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps showing my age, but back in the 1980s with LAN Manager and Novell NetWare, the term "LAN" really meant a file server, client "redirection" software, plus all the network hardware that was often bought as a package. Worth a historical mention somewhere (with a source or two) but probably not a stand-alone article. How about at least merging with Ethernet extender? Or maybe the other direction?
