ITS NOW ON JULY 8TH 2008 CONFIRMED BY INTERSCOPE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Micahkanchan (talk • contribs) 00:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
This is 50% fictional, only half the songs on here are realistically going to end up on the L.A.X. that will come out on 6-24-08. Blood Brothers was on a mix tape, scratch that off that track list right away. Street Ryders would be there and would be dope, also the "You Owe Me" track feat. Alicia Keys and produced by Quincy Jones is something that sounds historical. Game could change hip-hop/west-coast/gangsta rap for the better with this one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Armen323 (talk • contribs) 05:25, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
You know thats probably Quincy Jones III right? Not Quincy Jones the legendary producer who worked with Michael Jackson. So it wouldn't be historical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Siwhat (talk • contribs) 19:57, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Dr. Dre Confirmed?
editI know the source says he is confirmed, but since neither he nor Aftermath have confirmed it, should it say he's confirmed? Or possibly have it say something like "Game has expressed interest in Dr. Dre, but no word has come back"? Just a thought. (I'm probably wrong.) --JpGrB 01:29, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- The wording's fine. Game's only claiming Dre will produce (with no word from Aftermath yet). It's doubtful whether it's true because he said the same thing for his last album. Spellcast (talk) 11:19, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

in an allhiphop.com article posted on april 17th it says that dr.dre has not worked with the Game on the album...so its doubtful that he will be on the album. Scoffer3 (talk) 01:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
If you listen to the interview between Game and Funk Flex on Hot 97 (its on hip hop dx audio section), Game gives the impression that Dr. Dre will not be on LAX. Or maybe its a surprise. I don't know ...i doubt it though Duder999 (talk) 21:39, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Big Dreams
editCool & Dre announced on their myspace that they are debuting The Games first single at 12 A.M. on March 15th. I think that a page should be created for Big Dreams since it's the first single from the album. Thanks. volumesoxxs 04:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually you should remove it because it's not a single...it's actually a street record/from a mixtape believe it or not. I think it's the best rap song of 08 so far and it's only on a mixtape. Game said "Upon my release I went directly to the studio with producers Cool & Dre and recorded several records including my street record 'Big Dreams.' Thank you to all my fans as well for the support." However from all the hype on this record it just might end up on the album. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Armen323 (talk • contribs) 22:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually it is a single go to http://hiphopdx.com. They've officially confirmed as per game has too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.67.72.55 (talk) 19:06, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Yup it's official Game stated on his myspace, it's the first single from L.A.X. Probably should get a page on this song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Armen323 (talk • contribs) 01:35, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm starting to think that Big Dreams is not a single off LAX... I havent seen anything about it really. Duder999 (talk) 16:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Lyrics.
editIn the interview stating the two new songs produced by Cool & Dre, it shows some of Game's lyrics. And I know like with the Curtis album, they were added later, but I wasn't sure if we could add them now? --JpGrB 03:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Release date.
editRelease DAte
GAME Confirmed the albums release date. It is June 24 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Micahkanchan (talk • contribs) 00:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.6596/title.the-games-l-a-x-releasing-on-june-24th This will not be pushed back like the Dr.'s Advocate went from June to November because he already took out the street single. Expect it to be out and ready on June, 24...I predict 750,000 first week sales. Over all maybe 5 mil worldwide like the Documentary. If the album was released in 1998, this would sell 10 mil but with all the hacking and leaking album sales have suffered. I predict this to be the best selling hip=hop album of 08...over 50's album, Nas' album and even the Detox. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Armen323 (talk • contribs) 18:42, 21 March 2008 (UTC) TO JpGrB|J: i OBVIOUDLY MEANT HIS MYSPACE DUMBASS —Preceding unsigned comment added by Micahkanchan (talk • contribs) 00:13, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Krayzie Bone & Ne-Yo Song
editThe Game DID record a song with Krayzie Bone & Ne-Yo for this album. Most likely "Good Old Days" cause Ne-Yo is rumored to be on that track. The source is www.btnhboard.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.197.53.224 (talk) 01:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Singles
editSo i've looked around a little bit and its pretty obvious Big Dreams is not a single off of LAX. But can someone find out if the single with keisha cole is called "Pain" or "Game's Pain" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Duder999 (talk • contribs) 16:29, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, according to "DuBCNN", it's called "Pain", as that's where I downloaded it from. Yet in the picture given, it says "Game's Pain", and, if I'm not mistaken, I was told that it's the official CD release. I would go with the CD release, but I'm not 100% sure. --JpGrB 17:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)And 911 Is A Joke (Cop Killa) is already released.

editThat cover that is up right now is fake. It won't be the offical L.A.X. cover. SE KinG (talk) 21:07, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
You're right and you're wrong. the background & tittle card that you see is real but the photo of game is false, it came from xxl magizine. more than likely it will be him and his son sitting on tires like his previous covers. the record label is keeping it secret —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.254.189.64 (talk) 08:20, 20 May 2008 (UTC) When Game released his second album he said the covers would progress, at first he had 1 gold dayton and tire, then the 2nd had all four in platinum. he said the last album-since his work would be complete-he would have the full car. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.18.136.104 (talk) 12:21, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Track-List Cleanup?
editTracklist just looks too chunky in a table, why don't we just list it and drop the table as none of the tracks are actually confirmed. When the album actually does come out it would be best to put it in a table but for some reason the table being used right now just looks kinda f*cked up since there is no track no (obviously) or length (obviously), but anyway what do u think ppl??
all these tracks have been confirmed and it should stay this way until we have an official track listing (Ba11innnn (talk) 02:00, 17 June 2008 (UTC)).
We need to link all the same sources so there isn't 100 of the same source in the reflist. SE KinG (talk) 04:25, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. Do u want to do that? (Ba11innnn (talk) 05:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)).
Umm I guess so, got nothing better to do.Done. SE KinG (talk) 05:10, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
great job SE KinG. thanks man. Some people are saying that we should change the format of it but obviously there are more tracks than this. The Game says he is going to fill up his CD fully. So expect to see 20-23. We do not have the names of the Timbo track, Tre Beats tracks, Polow da Don track, Swizz Beatz, Just blaze. Also Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Fabolous, Robin Thicke. [ (Ba11innnn (talk) 05:20, 17 June 2008 (UTC)).
- Well Nas is on "Street Ryders" so wouldn't that name the Nas track? SE KinG (talk) 05:51, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah my bad.(Ba11innnn (talk) 16:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)).
- I have a feeling Street Ryders is not going to be on L.A.X. Here is why...Nas is going to be featured on Letter to the King. Akon has not been confirmed. The Game said there is going to be 5 Cool & Dre productions. We are still missing many confirmed guess artists and producers (ex. Tre Beats, Timbo). Ba11innnn (talk) 03:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Superman
editSuperman appears to be a cartoon video. http://i28.tinypic.com/2crleop.gif http://i30.tinypic.com/15rcydk.jpg http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/3377/leakscreenfo0.jpg It also is directed by C-Le —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.237.203.79 (talk) 08:19, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes you are right. According to C-Le, it is going to be either a bonus track on L.A.X. or an unreleased track (well not really unreleased...) and the video is supposed to come out tomorrow. The video is 90% cartoon and 10% Game and the song is produced by Just Blaze.
Sorry to annouce but the trailer was released today. Apparently the link above that said June 24 ment when L.A.X was originally being released. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.237.203.79 (talk) 07:57, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Dope Boyz
editI think the sample for this track is "Imagine" by John Lennon. I can't get confirmation from a source yet.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Treyb4ever (talk • contribs) 04:13, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok well i'm not sure why the Dope Boys article was deleted but now it just redirects back to the LAX page. I'm not sure how to change this but now that the song has charted i think that a page should be made again. Duder999 (talk) 14:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Bonus/Unreleased Tracks
editIf there are any confirmed Unreleased Tracks/Bonus Tracks, you can add them in the section below the confirmed tracks. this will stay at least until L.A.X. comes out. Ba11innnn (talk) 13:31, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Most of whats there is bullshit man. 911 is a Joke is just a random song that some BWS guys did. It had nothing to do with LAX. And most of those others are the same, some meant to be on the upcoming YKWII5. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.93.216.250 (talk) 04:59, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
4/5th time ALBUM PUSHED BACK
editthis is about the 4/5th time the album have been pushed back, It was pushed back to AUGUST 26 from July 22 by Geffen Records because they didn`t feel like Game`s Pain charted well to promote the album to a satisfactory extend. I need a citation "for the above mentioned push back reason" —Preceding unsigned comment added by LarryTheGreat (talk • contribs) 05:50, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
My Life
editokay it says that this song is an interpolation of Stan by Eminem....wasn't sure what that meant so i looked it up....i dont think i agree with that. I'm going to remove it for now. Duder999 (talk) 00:14, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- The beat samples it.
--Piazzajordan2 (Talk.) 01:04, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- "My Life" interpolates "Stan". So to put it in simpler terms, an "interpolation is an abrupt change of elements, with (almost immediate) continuation of the first idea." It's painfully obvious you can hear the bass of "Stan" in "My Life" as the piano.
- See: Interpolation (music)
- Sampling directly takes a previously made material without altering the elements. Interpolating, however, takes a previously made material and alters the elements (in this case the instruments).
Tracks after release date
editSince The Game says he recorded a lot of tracks (220) and only 16 are going to be on the album (and there are like 30 confirmed tracks on this page), i think we should create a section for all confirmed tracks that did not make the album. I think it would be good especially considering he will probably release these tracks through mixtapes and people could see if these were originally for the album. What do you all think? Ba11innnn (talk) 20:02, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Adding a table with 220 songs would take a lot of work, and would be very big. SE KinG (talk) 19:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- not 220 songs, just the songs that are confirmed on this page that do not end up on the album or possibly any other songs that are released that did not make the cut (aka like the 6 songs released by game after the DA) Ba11innnn (talk) 20:02, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

editHere is a new article where he even says to figure out the official tracklist is to go to the stores on the 26th. And even if you don't use it for that, it's just another article, use it or not. Just thought I'd pass it along. --HELLØ ŦHERE 14:03, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Well here's the reason I think this is a legit leak. First off, Game said himself that he would leak the Clean version of the album two weeks before the actual release. Also, the album would not be in a clean format if it was not the version going to stores. Two weeks also doesn't seem like enough time to have millions of copies of the CD thrown out, pressed again with the changes, and sent to distributors worldwide. The tracklist of the leaked version matches the list that was confirmed a few weeks ago (which is the version on the page for this album). kmanning2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.16.8.74 (talk) 03:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

L.A.X. vs. LAX
editAs far as I can tell, the name of the album is actually LAX, and not L.A.X. His official site, as well as several online stores refers to it as LAX. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.210.129.142 (talk) 12:30, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- I actually agree as the 3 covers we have don't show periods. --HELLØ ŦHERE 12:36, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
lmao.. Even on itunes the album is called "LAX" and not "L.A.X.".. Someone better change that. Azazaz6 (talk) 13:59, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Special Edition
editDose anyone know if the bonus tracks will be on the Special Edition too?
Final.
editWhat happened to the mention of it being his final album? --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:29, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- It is'nt his final album he is releasing D.O.C. (Diary of Compton) in 09. Game Says "L.A.X." Won't Be Last Album
--Piazzajordan2 (Talk.) 00:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- Not entirely true.
- "If I get Dr. Dre, MC Ren, King Tee, DJ Yella, Ice Cube and DJ Quik to help me, not necessarily to rap on it, but to produce and be in my corner, then the D.O.C. will hit stores!"
- So it's not 100% confirmed it will be being released. But its not 100% confirmed it's his last album. SE KinG (talk) 02:49, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Well since L.A.X. has no recent mentions that it will be his last album, keep the article the way it is, agreed?
--Piazzajordan2 (Talk.) 03:08, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- To tell you the truth, at this exact moment, I cannot find it, but in an interview I heard someone ask Game about this being "the end", and he said that it wasn't the end stating that he would be working on the label and producing, but that's he's not releasing albums anymore. I will try to find the interview once again, but he didn't seem to mention "D.O.C. (Diary of Compton)" at all. --HELLØ ŦHERE 08:50, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- I just heard that interview. He said DOC was just a rumor. And that L.A.X. is 100% his last. I was wrong. (I'll get the interview and add that it's his last album to the article.) SE KinG (talk) 08:56, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Re-writing.
editThe following are two sections are ones that a continuously changing IP user keeps adding but needs to be rewritten and sourced properly.
Reception
editThe album received favorable reviews from critics. USA Today gave the album a perfect score saying "throughout, The Game flays rivals and trumpets his own skills and success. He attacks the beats with lyrical ferocity." Rapreviews wrote a more negative review saying that "that there aren't any moments on here as shockingly memorable as "It's Okay (One Blood)" or as genuinely intriguing as the Busta-featuring "Doctor's Advocate" and Lord knows there aren't any massive hits on here circa "The Documentary" era of his career." The New York Times, which previously said Doctor's Advocate was the best hip-hop album of 2006, gave a mixed review saying that "The Game, never a fluid rapper, sounds positively lumpy, as if he were delivering verses while running up a steep flight of stairs, or as if the last few years of pugnacity have finally left him winded."
Singles
editThe first street single was released on March 18th 2008 Big Dreams which is produced by Cool & Dre. The first official single Game's Pain feautring Keyshia Cole was released in April 21st 2008. It charted moderately in the US but was met with critical acclaim "Game’s Pain, Keyshia Cole sums up in one sentence what Game has been trying to say the whole album; "I just wanna let you know/ I’m paying homage 'cause you’ve paved the way for me." Game underscores the central themes of hip-hop’s history and his deserved place in it, meditating on the struggles he's faced." The second single was Dope Boys featuring Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, the video released was deemed to be too edgy to be aired on TV by BET, but it has been lauded critically as "not only one of the best collaborations on L.A.X. but also one of the best songs of Game’s career." The third single released was My Life featuring Lil Wayne, when the song first leaked, many believed The Game was "dissing" Eminem. However, later on his website, Game denied this, and apologized to anyone who might have misunderstood what he had intended to say. It charted well in the US reaching a peak of 21 in Billboard Hot 100 and it peaked at 4 for Hot Rap Tracks. The second street single was released called House Of Pain and fianlly the fourth single was released featuring Ne-Yo called Camera Phone in December 5th 2008, it was only released in the UK.
These are the sections as the user keeps adding them. --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:41, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned references in LAX (album)
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of LAX (album)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Sales":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:39, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
