Wrong entries
editThe current notation [2,-2]^2 for the tetrahedral graph does not conform to the definitions in the Frucht paper. Note that -2 has to be replaced by +2 because on the Hamiltonian path on 4 nodes, calculating modulo 4, the positive value is to be set. So [2,-2]^2 becomes [2]^4. There are other errors of the same kind in the table: the utility graph is [3]^4, not [3,-3]^2, the Wagner graph is [4]^8, not [-4]^8, and the MathWorld entries are likewise incorrect. R. J. - The table seems OK to me. -- Radagast3 (talk) 20:51, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Mathar is right. Let's take an example: for the Wagner graph, [4]^8 and [-4]^8 are both OK (there are 8 vertices, -4 = 4 mod 8). So the current article is right too.
- Same thing with the tetrahedral graph: [2,-2]^2 and [2]^4 are equivalent (-2 mod 4 = 2 mod 4)... But [2]^4 is far more pretty. I will fix the table as soon as possible. Koko90 (talk) 09:31, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. -- Radagast3 (talk) 21:44, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

editI have reverted a deletion and insertion of text that had no inline citations (and which probably did not help the reader). Also [-6,4,-4]^4 and [-6,-3,3,-6,3,-3]^2 appear correct for the Bidiakis cube, so I'm not sure why these were changed. -- Radagast3 (talk) 20:23, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- I consider these deletions as vandalism. The -6 in the Bidiakis cube are wrong because in a graph with 12 nodes only numbers -5,-4,..,-2,2,3,...,+6 can appear. This is obvious to everybody who has read the literature, which is clearly cited, the Frucht paper and the Coxeter et al book. — Preceding unsigned comment added by R. J. Mathar (talk • contribs)
- I wouldn't say it was wrong; if you think it reads better with +6, that's reasonable for the Bidiakis cube, and I agree. The more important issue is that we shouldn't be inserting material without inline citations. -- Radagast3 (talk) 21:44, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
