Edits to Senate Bill 17
editI provided some to the "Senate Bill 17" section of the article. I thought this section provided very little information about the bill. While yes, its implications are that religious organizations in public schools can now discriminate against LGBTQ students, that is not the central idea of the law, especially on the surface. Its entire premise is religious freedom, which I think is important to understand, because it clearly shows KY legislators cherry picking one groups' rights over another. Who deserves less discrimination, Christians or LGBTQ students? is the question they both ask and answer with this law. As if one of these groups of people wasn't already discriminated against ten-fold times the other. Booboobear98 (talk) 11:31, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
Strange wording on transgender and sports
editThe article states that In March 2022, the Kentucky General Assembly passed a bill (SB83) to ban transgender individuals from female sports, athletes and Olympics.
What does the word "athletes" mean in that sentence? May I guess that something else was meant? Because you can't possibly ban transgender individuals from "athletes", can you? Fomalhaut76 (talk) 14:08, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Fixed Thanks for reporting. I think this sentence was a result from an overeager editor who felt a need to gild the lily. I revised to simplify. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! Gab • Gruntwerk 20:35, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
